About Mercor

Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We partner with leading AI labs and enterprises to provide the human intelligence essential to AI development. Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $3 million a day.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager to define how Mercor’s products are understood, differentiated, and adopted by enterprise and technical audiences.

This is a foundational, product-first PMM role. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and sales to shape how our products show up in the market - delivering value grounded in real customer needs. You won’t just package messaging - you’ll build the system for how we win: defining differentiation, sharpening competitive narratives, and turning customer insight into clear, defensible positioning.

What You’ll Do
  • Own positioning and differentiation end-to-end: define what we do, who it’s for, what it replaces, and why we win. Translate complex systems into clear, defensible narratives and sharpen them through competitive analysis and win/loss insights.

  • Act as the voice of the customer by synthesizing insights from sales, customer conversations, and product usage. Turn those insights into stronger positioning, clearer GTM strategy, and better product decisions.

  • Lead product launches from narrative through execution, aligning product, engineering, and GTM around clear messaging, proof points, and success metrics. Ensure launches land with clarity and drive real outcomes.

  • Equip sales to win through high-quality assets and proof: build sales materials, talk tracks, case studies, and benchmarks grounded in real buyer objections. Partner closely with sales and product to continuously refine what’s working.

What We’re Looking For
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree

  • Product Marketing Expert; product-first PMM with 5-8 years of product marketing experience in B2B enterprise software, ideally AI, data platforms, or complex technical products

  • Expert in positioning and competitive strategy - You can break down ambiguous landscapes, identify real differentiation, and sharpen narratives against both vendors and “build internally”

  • Strong point of view on AI buyers and use cases - you understand how technical and enterprise teams evaluate new systems, what earns trust, and where products deliver real value. You can identify high-impact use cases, prioritize target accounts, and articulate where we win (and where we don’t)

  • Able to translate market insight into GTM focus - you don’t just observe trends; you turn them into clear recommendations on positioning, target segments, partnerships, and where we should lean in to win

  • Strong judgment on messaging quality - you understand what resonates with technical and enterprise buyers, and create clear, compelling narratives grounded in real product value

Exceptional Candidates
  • Deeply embedded in the AI ecosystem - you have a strong, current point of view on the landscape: key players, model capabilities, where investment is flowing, and how the market is evolving from research to real enterprise adoption

  • A clear perspective on the future of AI in the enterprise - you can articulate what it will take (trust, measurement, reliability, human-in-the-loop systems) for widespread adoption

  • Experience in early-stage environments, building product marketing from the ground up at a hypergrowth company

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
