Vision

We're creating the shift to voice as humanity's default interface. Why voice? Because voice captures the nuance, the emotion, and the humanity of interactions in ways text alone can't: voice makes technology human again.

Mission

We're building the platform for the future of voice technology. Our market edge is extensible, reliable infrastructure designed for the full complexity of voice interactions. 18 months, 150k developers, adding 1000 every day. Give it a try here

The Role
We’re seeking a  Product Marketing Manager to lead our platform’s strategy and boost adoption among developes. You’ll craft compelling positioning, drive launches with cross-functional teams, and grow our user base and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, compelling, and differentiated positioning for our platform that speaks to both developers (e.g., ease of use, scalability) and businesses (e.g., ROI, customer experience impact), ensuring alignment with Vapi’s mission and value proposition.

  • Marketing Strategy: Lead the planning and execution of product launches, feature releases, and campaigns, collaborating with product, sales, and developer relations teams to drive awareness, adoption, and usage.

  • Customer Insights: Conduct market research, gather feedback from developers and enterprise customers, and analyze competitor landscapes to inform product strategy and marketing initiatives.

  • Content Development:Create impactful marketing materials, including website copy, case studies, whitepapers, pitch decks, and demo scripts, to showcase the platform’s capabilities and success stories.

  • Developer Advocacy Support: Partner with the Developer Relations team to craft messaging and content that inspires developers to build on our platform, amplifying their success through marketing channels.

  • Campaign Execution: Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (e.g., email, social media, video) to drive sign-ups, engagement, and conversions for both developer and business audiences.

  • Metrics & Analysis: Define and track KPIs (e.g., lead generation, conversion rates, platform adoption) to measure the success of marketing efforts, iterating based on data-driven insights.

  • Voice of the Customer: Act as a bridge between customers and the product team, advocating for user needs and ensuring their voices shape our roadmap and messaging.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in a B2D (business-to-developer) tech company, with a focus on developer tools, APIs, or platform products.

  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, customer-centric messaging for diverse audiences.

  • Proven experience launching products or features, driving adoption, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of developer ecosystems with the ability to tailor strategies for both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using tools like  PostHog, Amplitude, Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar to measure campaign performance and optimize outcomes.

  • Self-starter attitude with a passion for taking ownership and thriving in the ambiguity of an early-stage startup.

  • Bonus: Experience in voice technology, AI/ML, or SaaS platforms targeting developers and businesses.

Why Join Us?

  • Be a key player in a fast-growing startup with top 1% growth.

  • Shape the future of voice technology and empower a global developer community.

  • Work with a passionate, mission-driven team backed by top-tier investors.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
