Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.

Role Overview

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will own the strategic direction and success of specific products within the FaST division. This role drives engagement in high-growth markets by defining and promoting differentiated products, interacting with key strategic customers, and supporting business objectives across regions and accounts.

You will lead product strategy, market research, and pricing, while managing the full product lifecycle—from market penetration to adoption. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (applications, engineering, manufacturing, and sales) is essential to enhance existing products and ensure successful new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define market requirements and product strategies for assigned product lines.
  • Conduct market research, identify customer needs, and develop pricing strategies.
  • Create business and product marketing plans; manage product lifecycle (PLC).
  • Own product positioning and messaging in the marketplace.
  • Drive customer engagement from initial penetration through adoption.
  • Act as regional/account owner:
    • Develop product presentations for key customers.
    • Define penetration and adoption strategies in collaboration with regional teams.
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales projects, including Beta programs and early shipments.
  • Collaborate with Customer, Field Applications, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure timely closure of Beta and early ship programs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of semiconductor or packaging cleanroom/fab processes.
  • Experience in business plan development and product introduction planning.
  • Strong market analysis skills using customer data and industry reports.
  • Expertise in strategic marketing to identify evolving requirements and opportunities.
  • Ability to forecast product demand and analyze competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in product pricing and supporting new product releases.
  • Customer engagement experience, including technical presentations and executive summaries.
  • Familiarity with metrology tools/applications (plus).
  • Knowledge of etch, thin films, and lithography processes (plus).
  • Willingness to travel 30–40%, including internationally.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 0 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $109,600.00 - $186,300.00 Annually

Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
