About Town

Town (town.com) is AI that starts from who you are. We build a persistent model of your identity, your voice, your judgment, your relationships, and your priorities, and use it to do real work on your behalf across every tool where you operate: email, calendar, documents, Slack, and more. Town doesn't wait for you to prompt it. It observes, learns, and acts. The more you use it, the more it becomes an extension of you.

Town was founded by Jean-Denis Greze (CEO), former CTO of Plaid, and Tony Vincent (CPO), former Director of Applied AI Product at Google. We're a small, talent-dense team backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Forerunner Ventures, First Round Capital, and Conviction, with more than $73M raised to date. We launched our beta in February and have seen tremendous growth since, which is why we're hiring this role now.

About the Role

Town is hiring our first dedicated Product Marketing Manager. You'll work closely with our founding marketer, CPO, and product team to define how Town shows up in the world: how we position the product, how we launch, and how we turn a genuinely new category of AI assistant into a story people instantly understand and want to be part of.

This is a foundational, high-ownership role. You'll own positioning and messaging end to end, lead go-to-market for new launches, and build the narrative and content engine that connects what we've built to the people who need it. The interaction paradigms for AI-native products haven't been invented yet, which means the language for them hasn't either. That's the part we want you to own.

What you'll do
  • Own positioning and messaging. Define how we talk about Town across audiences, surfaces, and personas, distilling complex AI capabilities into clear, human narratives.

  • Lead product launches. Own go-to-market end to end for new features and surfaces (agents, routines, integrations, team features), from naming and messaging to announcement, docs, and in-product moments.

  • Build the story engine. Partner with the founding marketer and content to bring Town to life through customer stories, demos, landing pages, blog posts, and launch moments.

  • Drive adoption and activation. Work with product and growth to sharpen onboarding and the path to "aha," so new users understand and feel the value fast.

  • Own the competitive and market narrative. Track a fast-moving AI assistant landscape and arm the team with sharp, differentiated positioning.

  • Be the voice of the user. Talk to users, synthesize qualitative and quantitative signal, and feed it back into both the roadmap and the message.

You might thrive in this role if you...
  • Have 5-7 years in product marketing, ideally at a high-growth startup, B2B or B2C SaaS, or a consumer/prosumer software product.

  • Are an exceptional writer and storyteller, equally comfortable with a one-pager, a launch announcement, a landing page, or a product narrative.

  • Have owned product or feature launches end to end and can plan go-to-market from positioning through post-launch measurement.

  • Have strong product taste and can hold the whole experience in your head, from the message to the in-product moment.

  • Are energized by ambiguity and a fast pace, and would rather build the playbook than inherit one.

  • Are genuinely AI-curious and want to use AI (including Town itself) to make yourself dramatically more effective.

  • Are excited about working in person in SF, five days a week.
