Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Support the Key Account Managers in driving penetration of the Grid Automation portfolio into direct accounts and other new customers as directed by the Regional Sales Director.

Ensure the development of new opportunities, drive adoption of products and integrated solutions,  engage customers proactively to expand adoption of the Grid Automation portfolio.

Manage sales opportunities and forecasts using the GEV CMS, SFDC-SPEAK.

Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders and sales plans.

Work with customers to determine their CTQ's (Critical To Quality) metrics and appropriate product/service solutions needs.

Outline, present and sell the value of GEV Grid Automation products and services that can benefit customer needs.

Work directly with customers to influence specifications and close key deals.

Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations, marketing, engineering and product development teams.

Develop and cultivate long-term relationships in support of the account strategy.

Provide input to the account plans, long term and short-term actions needed to grow.

Develop an understanding of and capability to communicate the value of the entire Grid Automation portfolio.

Become proficient in new products that build on and expand the core portfolio…for example conventional protection architectures to centralized and virtualized protection and control solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or other technical field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of five years of experience selling technical solutions in the electrical power systems market.

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Desired Characteristics

Protection and Control engineering experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and leadership skills.

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute on commercial programs.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $147,700.00 and $246,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: sales incentive.
