The Production Engineer provides process, materials, and/or equipment engineering support to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability. Provides support for day-to-day operations within the established capability of the asset. Leads operations teams in root cause analysis and problem solving. Provides technical expertise and direction to improve our competitive advantage for one or more technology areas. Drives improvement programs using existing and new technologies.
Job Duties:

  • Provides technical and day-to-day support for Advanced Cleans manufacturing
  • Accountable for accuracy of all plant operating procedures and drives improvements on production processes and yields
  • Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process deviations and quality defects
  • Assists with design of solutions to improve processes and responsible for implementation (safety, yield, uptime, capacity release, new product introductions)
  • Trains and coaches Operations team on operating procedures, including experimental batches and test authorizations
  • Leads one or more PSM Technology Elements (Process Technology, PHA, MOC-Technology) and participates in Quality Management Systems
  • Leads/drives Continuous Improvements and Lean Manufacturing projects

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Technical Degree (BS or MS) in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in a process engineering/ manufacturing-related role required
  • 2+ years of experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve or help others solve equipment and/or process issues.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key PSM Technology elements such as Process Hazards Analysis, Process Technology, Management of Change-Technology, among others
  • Demonstrated ability train others, and work in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
  • Demonstrated skill in leadership, team building and achieving results through influence and negotiation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; must work well in both self-managed and team environment
