What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Lead the development and execution of production forecasts, master schedules, capacity plans, and inventory strategies to support customer requirements and operational goals.
- Partner with operations, procurement, materials, and program management teams to proactively address material constraints, production disruptions, and demand fluctuations while maintaining schedule adherence.
- Drive production planning, shop scheduling, dispatching, and production control processes to optimize throughput, inventory levels, and on-time delivery performance.
- Develop and analyze operational reports, revenue forecasts, annual operating plans (AOP), and key performance metrics to support leadership decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop planning teams while partnering with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments, successful product launches, and achievement of business objectives.
The Experience We're Looking to Add to the Team
- Strong expertise in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, capacity planning, forecasting, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related field, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading production planning teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, demand planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex operational data and translate insights into action plans.
- Excellent communication, leadership, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- APICS/CPIM, CSCP, CPM, or related supply chain certification is preferred.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or other high-volume manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
