We are looking for an experienced eDiscovery Program Manager to join our expanding Legal Operations Team! The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail oriented, proactive, and able to juggle competing priorities with a collaborative and transparent approach. As an eDiscovery Program Manager at Lyft, you'll be at the intersection of law and technology, managing the full lifecycle of electronic discovery for litigation and regulatory matters. You'll work directly with our in-house legal team, outside counsel, and cross-functional partners to ensure we're responding efficiently and effectively to discovery demands. This position reports to the Head of Legal Operations. 

Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end eDiscovery workflows including data preservation, collection, processing, review, and production for multiple concurrent matters
  • Partner with Legal, Security, and Engineering teams to execute legal holds and coordinate data collections across our systems including Google Workspace, Slack, and proprietary platforms
  • Administer and optimize our eDiscovery platforms (CS DISCO, Google Vault, JIRA, Evisort) to support efficient document review and production
  • Develop and implement scalable processes for managing discovery in regulatory investigations, litigation, and M&A due diligence
  • Collaborate with outside counsel and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of discovery projects
  • Create and maintain tracking systems for discovery requests, deadlines, and metrics to support data-driven decision making
  • Provide technical guidance to attorneys on discovery strategy, including use of analytics, technology-assisted review, and data visualization
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to develop and implement eDiscovery strategies and best practices.
  • Conduct data mapping exercises to identify relevant data sources and develop comprehensive discovery strategies
  • Utilize eDiscovery tools (e.g., TAR) and software to efficiently manage electronic data and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to data management and eDiscovery.
  • Create and execute complex searches across vast repositories of data
  • Coordinate electronic and forensic collections and internal investigations
  • Assist in creating productions and exports for delivery to clients
  • Track data acquisition from internal and external resources and verify data integrity
  • Assist with amending standardized procedures relating to the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (“EDRM”)
  • Train and guide internal teams on eDiscovery processes, tools, and compliance requirements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining eDiscovery policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
Experience:
  • 3+ years of eDiscovery experience in a tech company, law firm, or vendor environment
  • Deep understanding of the EDRM lifecycle and best practices
  • A thorough understanding of discovery procedures and familiarity with eDiscovery tools, most notably DISCO HOLD, Google Vault, and Relativity; experience with Onna, self service eDiscovery collection tools and data management programs
  • Experience managing multiple complex discovery projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to translate complex data concepts for legal audiences
  • ACEDS, RCA, or similar certification is strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting M&A due diligence and integration projects
  • Proficiency with SQL or other data query languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight timeframes across multiple deadlines with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in collaborating cross-functionally with attorneys, outside counsel, and other business partners.
  • Fluency with Google Suite, JIRA, Slack, and Microsoft Suite

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $88,000 - $110,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
