About us:

Aeva’s mission is to bring the next wave of perception to a broad range of applications from automated driving to industrial robotics, consumer electronics, consumer health, security, and beyond. Aeva is transforming autonomy with its groundbreaking sensing and perception technology that integrates all key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip in a compact module. Aeva 4D LiDAR sensors uniquely detect instant velocity in addition to 3D position, allowing autonomous devices like vehicles and robots to make more intelligent and safe decisions.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Program Operations Manager to help drive operational excellence across Aeva’s product and customer programs. This role will work closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to establish, streamline, and execute the processes and tools used to manage complex programs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and process-oriented, with the ability to turn complex cross-functional activities into clear plans, actionable data, and scalable processes. This role will have broad visibility across Engineering, Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management and will play a key role in improving how Aeva plans, tracks, and executes its programs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to improve the planning, tracking, and execution of complex product development programs
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths across multiple functional teams
  • Drive consistent execution of key program processes including change management, resource planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and phase-gate readiness
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities and follow up on actions, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure commitments are completed on time
  • Support resource planning across programs by consolidating demand, identifying capacity gaps and conflicts, and providing clear visibility to program and functional leadership
  • Support product and program change management by coordinating impact assessments, implementation plans, approvals, timing, and cross-functional communication
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs that provide leadership with clear visibility into program health, schedule performance, resource needs, risks, and execution gaps
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize Program Management processes, tools, templates, and reporting across programs
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to ensure program plans and processes are aligned and effectively executed
  • Help establish scalable program-management infrastructure and best practices as Aeva's programs and organization continue to grow
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring execution gaps, driving corrective actions, and incorporating lessons learned into program processes

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, program operations, engineering operations, or a related role
  • Experience supporting complex cross-functional hardware and/or software product development programs
  • Strong project planning skills with experience managing schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
  • Experience with resource planning, change management, risk management, or product development governance processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize complex information and turn it into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution across teams without direct authority
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through and a bias toward action
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across engineering teams and senior leadership
  • Experience with project and program management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple programs, priorities, and stakeholders

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in automotive, autonomous systems, LiDAR, robotics, or another complex hardware/software development environment
  • Knowledge of automotive product development processes including EV/DV/PV, APQP/PPAP, ASPICE, or VDA
  • Experience developing program dashboards, automated reporting, and resource-management tools
  • Experience establishing or improving PMO/program-management processes in a growing technology organization
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and engineering change-control processes

What's in it for you:

  • Be part of a fast-paced and dynamic team
  • Very competitive compensation and meaningful stock grants
  • Exceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more
  • Unlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching timecards
