Job Description

The Programmatic Technical Trading Lead at EVERSANA INTOUCH oversees programmatic campaign optimizations and management, applying a deep understanding of data analysis and programmatic advertising to drive campaign success. This role serves as the technical backbone of the programmatic team, supporting Programmatic Traders and Supervisors through consistent collaboration on campaign setup, measurement and troubleshooting across a portfolio of pharmaceutical brands spanning both Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)/patient audiences.

This role blends hands-on technical expertise — including advanced SQL, identity resolution and data onboarding — with the ability to translate technical nuance into clear business language for clients and internal teams. Because this work touches campaign tracking and data collection for pharmaceutical brands, the Technical Trading Lead is also expected to understand, and help ensure adherence to, HIPAA and data-privacy considerations, along with the Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review requirements and platform-specific healthcare advertising policies unique to pharmaceutical advertising.

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:

  • Campaign Optimization Leadership — Oversee programmatic campaign optimizations and management; identify performance trends to inform individual campaign and portfolio-wide optimizations.

  • Trader & Supervisor Support — Support Programmatic Traders and Supervisors via consistent collaboration to ensure campaign success, applying a deep understanding of data analysis and programmatic advertising.

  • Performance Monitoring & Analytics — Monitor and analyze campaign performance using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of programmatic strategies and make data-driven decisions that return maximum performance; lead analytics reporting with optimizations made, additional insights and the context of those insights.

  • Cross Platform QA — Leverage multiple DSPs and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Campaign Manager) to ensure setup and tracking is accurate. Lead discrepancy investigations and root-cause analysis across platforms.

  • Data & Identity Strategy — Apply knowledge and experience around identity resolution and data onboarding to support compliant, privacy-safe audience activation.

  • Advanced Data Analysis — Use advanced SQL knowledge to query, analyze and interpret large data sets in support of campaign and portfolio optimization decisions.

  • Client Communication — Serve as a programmatic point of contact for clients, translating technical nuance into business language.

  • Mentorship — Mentor junior team members to build their programmatic trading acumen.

  • Documentation & Process Standardization — Maintain detailed documentation of tagging instructions, implementation status, QA results and technical workflows to ensure transparency for internal teams and clients.

  • Regulatory & Compliance — Ensure tagging, pixel implementation and data collection/onboarding practices comply with HIPAA, FDA/OPDP guidance and platform-specific healthcare advertising policies; safeguard against inadvertent collection of protected health information (PHI) in campaign tracking.

  • Innovation & Emerging Technology — Evaluate new ad tech and data partners and contribute to testing frameworks for onboarding new integrations; stay current on identity resolution, cookieless tracking, and privacy-safe measurement alternatives.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required.

  • 3+ years of hands-on-keyboard DSP experience.

  • Advanced SQL knowledge.

  • Experience with Google tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Campaign Manager, etc.

  • Deep understanding of data analysis and programmatic advertising fundamentals.

  • Knowledge and experience around identity resolution and data onboarding.

  • Experience with pixel and tag implementation, QA and discrepancy troubleshooting.

  • Ability to identify performance trends and translate them into individual campaign and portfolio-wide optimizations.

  • Ability to translate technical nuance into clear business language for clients and internal teams.

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and data-privacy considerations as they relate to HCP and DTC/patient audience data collection and tracking.

  • Basic understanding of the Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review process and FDA/OPDP promotional guidance as applied to programmatic media.

  • Strong analytical, communication and mentorship skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation and process rigor.
