This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro area.

About the Role

The QA Analyst will focus on testing the Admin Console and backend systems that power our enterprise solutions. You will work alongside a team of developers and QA professionals to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our console applications used by large organizations. Your primary responsibilities will include testing web applications, validating backend APIs, identifying bugs, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. You’ll manage test plans, document activities in Jira, and continuously assess product quality to recommend improvements that will enhance the customer experience. You should bring a strong understanding of enterprise environments, as well as familiarity with web development concepts, APIs, and testing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing of web-based console applications, ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise-level software.
  • Set up and configure testing tools to meet testing objectives, focusing on backend APIs and web application functionality.
  • Manage test tickets and document testing activities using Jira and Confluence.
  • Use test management tools such as TestRail to track and report on testing progress.
  • Set up testing environments for both desktop and mobile platforms, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals to identify and resolve quality assurance bottlenecks and improve processes.
  • Ensure that all testing efforts align with best practices in enterprise software quality assurance.

Requirements
  • Proven experience working in enterprise environments with a strong understanding of network operations and system administration.
  • Knowledge of fault tolerance, multi-tenancy, and concepts such as load balancers and proxies.
  • Experience with enterprise tools such as Active Directory, LDAP, and Identity Management solutions.
  • Solid experience with enterprise operating systems (Windows 10, Mac OS X, Linux, Windows Server).
  • Due to the role's involvement in GovCloud, all applicants must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
    Preferred Requirements
    • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web application testing.
    • Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker).
    • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
    • Knowledge of identity and access management protocols such as SAML and SCIM.
