About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Product team. Primary focus will be testing X Money, a revolutionary global payment network that will serve over 600 million users and rival the world’s largest financial institutions. Responsibilities include developing  and executing test strategies, creating automated test frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will be hands-on, proactive and contribute directly to the company’s mission. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important. All engineers are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.

Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for X Money ensuring coverage of functional, performance, and usability aspects.
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Perform manual testing and contribute to the development of automated test scripts to validate product functionality, performance, and reliability across platforms (web, iOS, Android).
  • Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Quality Metrics: Define and monitor quality metrics to assess product performance and user satisfaction, providing actionable insights to improve product quality.
  • Cross-Platform Testing: Ensure consistent performance and user experience across all supported platforms, including x.com, the X iOS app, the X Android and upcoming X Android Lite apps.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct and coordinate regression testing to ensure new features and updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment on quality goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to enhance testing processes and product quality.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing with experience in fintech, AI or consumer-facing products.
  • Hands-on experience with testing large scale web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Automation skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar for test automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions is a plus.

Interview Process

After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 20 minute interview (“phone interview”) during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the initial phone interview, you will enter the main process, which consists of four technical interviews:

  1. Coding assessment in a language of your choice.
  2. Testing assessment
  3. Project deep-dive: Present your past exceptional work to a small audience.
  4. Meet and greet with the wider team.

Our goal is to finish the main process within one week. We don’t rely on recruiters for assessments. Every application is reviewed by a member of our technical team. All interviews will be conducted via in person if applicable. 

Annual Salary Range

$180,000 - $300,000 USD
