RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure effective process and business performance, provides leadership for development and deployment of assigned business functions at a regional level. Manages operational process improvement through metrics, problem identification, root cause analysis and developing and implementing corrective action. Develops basic to complex processes and process maps.
- To support effective local and regional operational and business performance, takes leadership and ownership of driving continuous improvement and ensures successful design and implementation of the metrics, quality plans, Statistical Process Controls, and/or internal audits with limited direction of Quality Management.
- To fulfill departmental resource optimization and cross-training requirements train and develops plans for staff improvement and mentors for staff qualification. and requalification.
- To fulfill accreditation and regulatory requirements plans and conducts internal audits to ISO standard requirements, local , regional, international scheme requirements, as well as business related audits that have been assigned. Facilitates resolution of non-conformances by identifying owners, working with staff with root cause analysis and appropriate corrective actions.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred - University degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or related field plus generally five years of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of quality systems and process improvement principles, tools and techniques
including quality and business excellence models (e.g., ISO 9001, 17025, 17065, Lean Sigma, Baldrige / Shingo). - Demonstrated detailed knowledge of auditing and CAPA Principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead internal quality audits , root cause analysis and plan/implement corrective action.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, to interact with all levels of the organization, and to present and facilitate
discussions of the findings. - Ability to lead improvement teams to develop complex processes and process maps
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English is required.
