Job Summary
The QC Analyst is responsible for performing routine laboratory testing and supporting quality control activities to ensure products meet established specifications. This entry-level role involves operating analytical instruments, maintaining chemical safety, collaborating with production teams, and ensuring timely and accurate data reporting. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the QC field.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform analytical testing using instruments such as TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis), UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and titration systems
• Prepare samples, reagents, and standard solutions for testing
• Accurately record and document test results in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems
• Conduct data processing and analysis using Excel (e.g., calculations, charts, and trend analysis)
• Ensure fast and efficient sample turnaround time while maintaining accuracy
• Collaborate with the production team to support quality needs and resolve routine issues
• Follow and promote chemical hygiene and laboratory safety practices
• Maintain clean, organized lab spaces and properly functioning equipment
• Pay strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Assist with troubleshooting and support basic investigations (e.g., OOS results)
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or coursework) in Chemistry or related science field
• High School degree/GED.
• Basic chemistry lab experience (academic or internship acceptable)
• Familiarity with analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, titration, or thermal analysis preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing and analysis
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills & Attributes
• Hands-on experience with TGA, UV-Vis, and titration instruments
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with production teams
• Understanding of chemical hygiene and safe laboratory practices
• Ability to manage time effectively and maintain good sample turnaround performance
• Curious mindset with eagerness to learn QC processes, analytical techniques, and new instruments/technologies
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset
