About the company
Our client is a fast-growing technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Set up and lead a brand-new quality function that acts as an independent audit step ahead of every delivery. Shape the standards and scoring approach, measure results, and partner with operations and engineering colleagues to stop issues from recurring.
What you'll do
- Serve as the independent final reviewer, inspecting technical deliverables such as code and reasoning material to confirm they are accurate, well formed and match the agreed specification.
- Create the quality function from scratch, including review workflows, scoring guides and acceptance standards.
- Work alongside team leads and delivery groups to uncover patterns behind defects and turn the findings into better contributor coaching.
- Team up with infrastructure engineers to automate checks and tooling so that known defects do not come back.
- Track and report on error rates, underlying causes and progress over time to operations and senior leadership.

- Quality work that formed a central, ongoing part of a full-time job rather than an occasional side project.
- Self-directed approach, able to start contributing immediately and judge when work is ready to go out.
Bonus points
- Degree in computer science or another STEM field.
- Full-time background at a company that produces human-generated or training data for machine learning.
