Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Quality Manager to support federal facility recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii. The Quality Manager will oversee the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure AECOM quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained. This role will provide guidance to employees, advise on technical issues, and manage the coordination of activities within a group, department, or functional area.

This role will require an onsite presence in Kauai, Hawaii and is eligible for per diem related expenses when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the management of the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that AECOM quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.
  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • May have budget responsibilities.
  • Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.
  • In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and may not have direct reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field and 8+ years of related professional experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience in quality management, quality assurance, quality control, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with quality management systems and monitoring compliance with established quality processes and procedures.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal facility, construction, infrastructure, or recovery projects.
  • Experience working with federal quality requirements or quality management programs.
  • Experience coordinating quality activities for complex projects or programs.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
