This engineer primarily supports and coordinates the preparation for new product launch activities:
- setup test station
- validate firmware
- confirm low power setup and FW for THB
- verify test script
- generate and release training package in Workday
- conduct training
- attend PDT meeting
Activities carried out by this engineer during high volume production phase:
- coordinate new testers transfer and setup in NVMQRA SSD Lab
- setup required tester and test script to initiate ongoing reliability testing
- monitor the ongoing and outgoing reliability performance of datacenter and client SSD products
- compile regular reliability reports for customer review
- provide electrical failure analysis supports
- coordinate the overall failure analysis flow including EFA, FW/HW verification. Pursue risk assessment, root cause and CAPA validation.
The essential responsibilities of this engineer in failure investigation are including:
- maintain traceability of failure
- replicate and validate the failure
- perform first level electrical failure analysis (EFA)
- update FA status in external and internal JIRA
- chair FA meeting to drive for path forward
- coordinate root cause findings
- determine corrective action to effectively resolve quality and reliability issues
- monitor monthly turn-around time
- collaborate with the respective functional teams to improve datacenter and client SSD quality and reliability
- responsible for 6S, ESD and EHS in NVMQRA SSD Lab
- coordinate yearly physical inventory count
This engineer provides significant support in Ongoing Reliability Test (ORT):
- master the ORT operation using various tester racks/chambers
- collaborate with Global Engineering Lab (GEL) to setup, sustain preventive maintenance and repair testers/chambers
- plan and optimize ORT test capacity
- monitor the efficiency of monthly ORT sampling
- accomplish AI projects by utilizing AI coding knowledge of Python, Open Code, GenieLab, Geniq, Roo Code, etc.
- monitor ORT test status
- ensure data crunching can be completed upon ORT pass
- maintain testers connection
