About HUD

HUD is building infrastructure to create RL training data and evals for frontier AI agents, as well as a marketplace to sell these to frontier labs through the HUD marketplace. Our platform is used by frontier labs, Fortune 500 companies, and startups. We’ve raised $15M from top VCs and were YC W25.

About the role

We’re hiring a Recruiter to hire strong engineers and GTM leaders so we can keep up with our rapid growth. That said, our bar is high because we believe HUD will only be 30-40 people in an end state - our marketplace model means scaling revenue does not rely on scaling headcount. Your challenge is to identify and sign these exceptional talent.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end recruiting across technical and GTM roles

  • Build and optimize recruiting ops and tooling, automating workflows whenever possible

  • Partner closely with founders and team leads to define role requirements, evaluation criteria, and interview processes

  • Develop a strong understanding of our product to effectively pitch technical candidates

  • Source top candidates through high-signal and unconventional channels

  • Screen candidates for both technical competence and product/market intuition

  • Support onboarding and new hire ramp

  • Help define and run performance review processes, leveling, and feedback systems

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience hiring engineering, product, and GTM roles

  • Are comfortable evaluating candidates via portfolios and projects, not just resumes

  • Can understand and communicate technical concepts well enough to engage credibly with candidates

  • Are highly organized and can manage multiple roles and pipelines simultaneously

  • Have strong instincts for talent quality and bar-setting

  • Early-stage startup experience with ability to work independently in fast-paced environments

Strong candidates may also have:

  • A track record of sourcing creatively

  • Familiarity with Ashby, Juicebox, and Clay

  • Experience with vibe coding and using AI to automate workflows

  • Exposure to or ownership of people/HR functions

  • Experience evaluating non-traditional candidate profiles

We prioritize technical aptitude and learning potential over years of experience. Motivated candidates are encouraged to apply even if they don't meet all criteria.

  • Company stage: We have 8 figures in funding and high revenue growth. We’re scaling profitably and quickly to meet very strong demand.

Logistics
  • Employment: Full-time preferred, open to fractional for exceptional candidates.

  • Location: On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • Visa Sponsorship: We provide support for relocation and visas for strong full-time candidates to the US.

  • Timeline: Applications are rolling. The process is 2 technical interviews and a 2-3 day work trial.

What we offer
  • Competitive compensation

  • 100% covered top-of-the-line medical, dental, and vision from Blue Shield of CA

  • Lunch and dinner when you’re in the office

  • Company-wide holiday break (Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day) on top of PTO and paid holidays

  • Other perks including an Equinox membership, 401k, and commuter benefits

  • Unlimited* access to tokens for ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, etc. *By unlimited, we mean no one on our token usage leaderboard has ever hit a limit. So we have no idea what the limit is.

Due to high volume, we may not actively respond to every application, but feel free to contact us at [email protected] or elsewhere if we missed your application!
