Full-cycle generalist recruiter owning hiring across engineering, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and ad-hoc roles. Build sourcing strategies for unfamiliar roles, partner with founders and hiring managers on scorecards and interview loops, manage ATS hygiene and funnel metrics, craft outreach and candidate experience, and rapidly reprioritize as business needs shift.

Profound is the marketing platform for the age of AI search. The way brands reach people is being rewritten — AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode are now the answer layer between companies and their customers. We built the platform marketers use to understand, measure, and win in that world: the analytics, intelligence, and agent automation that turn AI search from a threat into a competitive advantage.

We went from 0 to a $1B valuation in 18 months. Revenue grew 100x last year. Our customers include 15% of the Fortune 500 like Walmart, Wayfair and U.S. Bank, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. We are backed by Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, LSVP, and Khosla Ventures — and we are moving fast enough that the people joining now are building the playbook everyone who comes after them will run.

As our Recruiter, you will be the flexible engine of our talent team. Where our GTM and Technical recruiters go deep on a single domain, you go wide, owning full-cycle hiring across whatever the business needs most at any given moment, from technical to GTM to G&A, plus the high-priority, first-of-their-kind searches that don't fit neatly into any one box. This is a true generalist role for someone who thrives on variety and wants to plug into the most important open need, whatever it happens to be that week.

What you'll do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting across any function we prioritize, including engineering, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and the net-new roles that emerge as we grow

  • Flex between requisitions and reprioritize quickly as company needs shift, partnering with our GTM and Technical recruiters to absorb overflow and take point on net-new or unconventional searches

  • Stand up sourcing strategies for unfamiliar or first-of-their-kind roles, building the playbook where none exists yet

  • Partner with founders and hiring managers to define scorecards, interview loops, and tight SLAs for every search you pick up

  • Craft crisp outreach and a high-touch candidate experience that reflects our mission and pace, from first message to signed offer

  • Keep the funnel instrumented through ATS hygiene, conversion data, and fast iteration on what's working

Who you are
  • A versatile, full-cycle recruiter who has hired across multiple functions and is energized by variety rather than a single specialty

  • Comfortable with ambiguity: you can pick up an unfamiliar role, get smart fast, and build a sourcing plan from scratch

  • High-agency and adaptable, able to reprioritize on a dime as the business changes underneath you

  • A creative sourcer with a real network and the persistence to build one where it doesn't exist

  • Data- and process-minded, tracking time to fill and source yield and knowing how to unblock bottlenecks

  • A track record at fast-growing startups, ideally familiar with the NYC ecosystem

Location

This is an on-site role based in our NYC or SF office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $160,000 to $215,000 (NYC and SF). Profound's total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process. Our recruiting team will share more details about the full compensation package and benefits as you move through hiring.
