Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era of micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler™ technology platform. This platform enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by providing manufacturing processes and a materials library that are inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods. It unlocks MEMS manufacturing not only for device classes that could never be produced by semiconductor methods, but also for entirely new categories. Furthermore, this digital platform is fully programmable in the way 3D printing is digital—but whereas 3D printing produces parts of a single material using a single process, the Matter Compiler™ technology platform is a multi-process, multi-material system: bits and raw materials go in, and complete, functional micromachines come out. The Atomic Machines team has also created an exciting first device—made possible only through the Matter Compiler™ technology platform—that we will be unveiling to the world soon.

Our offices are in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California.
About The Role:

This high-visibility role combines front-of-house excellence with behind-the-scenes execution, anchoring our candidate experience and ensuring operations run smoothly across both offices. As a Recruiting Coordinator at Atomic Machines, you’ll work closely with our recruiting team to manage all logistics of the candidate journey—scheduling interviews, requesting availability, and owning all calendaring responsibilities. You will coordinate across both offices and support candidates in multiple time zones, requiring exceptional precision, organization, and foresight. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts will be critical to ensuring a seamless process.

This role is ideal for someone with a growth mindset—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and takes pride in crafting thoughtful, polished experiences. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for candidates learning about our innovative company, demonstrating how we approach every interaction with intention and a first-principles mindset.

This is a 90-day contract role with the potential to convert to full-time based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Do:
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate logistics for both the Emeryville and Santa Clara offices.
  • Ensure a professional and seamless candidate experience from first contact through final interviews.
  • Maintain candidate tracking systems, organize feedback, and support improvements to recruiting processes.
  • Use Greenhouse and Google Calendar to ensure all interviews are accurately booked and managed.
  • Book travel for candidates as needed.
  • Maintain recruiting documentation and update internal resources such as interview guides and candidate FAQs.
What You’ll Need:
  • 1–3 years of administrative, office coordination, or recruiting support experience (startup or high-growth environment a plus).
  • A first-principles mindset—you question assumptions, reframe problems from the ground up, and approach challenges with foundational reasoning rather than relying solely on precedent.
  • Mastery of Google Workspace (especially Calendar, Docs, and Sheets).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Pride in creating smooth, efficient workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
