Who we are

Odyssey is an AI lab pioneering general-purpose world models: causal, multimodal systems that learn to predict and interact with the world over long horizons, while generating real-time, interactive simulations from any starting point. This foundational technology promises to revolutionize robotics, science, healthcare, education, gaming, defense, and beyond.

About the team

Our exceptionally strong and focused founding team came from DeepMind, OpenAI, Tesla, Waymo, and Wayve. We're at the GPT-2 moment for world models and the next 12-18 months will shape who leads this space! Odyssey is hiring across research, engineering, product, and operations, and we need an exceptional Recruiting Coordinator to help us build the team that will define this frontier.

What we're looking for

You’ll be the operational backbone of recruiting at Odyssey, working across multiple concurrent searches and partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and leadership to ensure every candidate interaction reflects the quality and ambition of what we’re building.
The ideal candidate for this foundational hire for our people function has demonstrated the initiative and hands-on experience building and documenting processes from 0 to 1, is proficient in Ashby, obsesses over candidate experience, integrates new technology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and owns their data: reports and metrics that drive decisions!

What you’ll do
  • Own end-to-end interview scheduling across all open roles—coordinating complex multi-stage loops involving founders, researchers, and engineering leaders across time zones

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first touchpoint through offer—act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the process, ensuring timely communication and a seamless experience

  • Manage and maintain the ATS (Ashby)—keep candidate records accurate, move candidates through stages, flag bottlenecks, and ensure data hygiene across the pipeline

  • Coordinate with Rippling and internal systems for onboarding logistics, background checks (Checkr), and new hire setup

  • Track and report on recruiting metrics—time-to-fill, pipeline conversion rates, interviewer utilisation, and scheduling turnaround times

  • Support employer branding efforts—help maintain job postings on LinkedIn and other channels, coordinate content for careers pages, and assist with event logistics

  • Manage logistics for recruiting events, on-site interviews, and candidate travel where required

  • Proactively identify process improvements—find friction in the scheduling and coordination workflow and fix it before anyone has to ask

Who you are
  • Relentlessly organized—you can juggle 15+ open roles simultaneously without dropping a single detail

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication—you represent Odyssey to every candidate who walks through the door

  • High sense of urgency and ownership—in a competitive talent market, speed matters; you treat every open role like it’s the most important one

  • Comfortable with ambiguity—processes are still being built; you’ll help shape them rather than wait for instructions

  • Data-minded—you track metrics, spot patterns, and use data to improve how the team operates

  • Genuinely interested in AI and frontier technology—you don’t need a technical background, but you should be excited by what Odyssey is building and able to convey that energy to candidates

  • Discreet and trustworthy—you’ll handle sensitive compensation, equity, and organisational information daily

  • Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to streamline workflows is a plus

What we offer
  • Hybrid schedule and collaborative environment at a modern office in Palo Alto

  • Compensation: the base salary range for this role is $90,000 – $150,000, depending on experience

  • Equity

  • Health & Wellness: comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; onsite gym

  • Flexible Time Off

  • 401(k) with Company Match

  • Paid meals and snacks

If you've ever built a process that didn't exist, fixed something nobody asked you to fix, and genuinely enjoy being the person who makes a complex machine run, please apply!
