Job Location:  Philadelphia, PA / New Jersey Region

This position requires regular travel to and between assigned branch locations within the region. Candidates must reside within the designated territory, which includes Philadelphia and New Jersey, and be able to travel/driving throughout the region, as needed.  

Summary:

As a Regional Commercial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of the commercial sales strategy for the region.  Responsible for building, leading, and scaling high-performance teams to achieve sustained revenue growth.  Drives sales consistency and performance across the region by strengthening rep management and standardizing sales practices.  It owns regional pipeline health and forecast accuracy, ensuring clear visibility and accountability to meet revenue goals.  The position partners closely with the Training Manager to maintain high training standards and continuously develop sales capabilities.  It also promotes strong awareness and adoption of existing and new products across the team.  Overall, the role is critical in elevating execution, alignment, and results across the region. 

Responsibilities:

Own and Manage Regional Sales Performance

  • Recruit, lead, and develop commercial sales teams to build organizational capacity while driving an aggressive, new customer acquisition mindset. 
  • Own and manage regional sales forecasts and pipeline performance for commercial sales, collaborating with the Commercial Sales Director and General Managers. 
  • Oversee proposal strategy and deal execution, partnering with sales reps to maximize profitability and ensure high-impact customer presentations. 
  • Provide weekly forecast updates against budget and targets.  Report on pipeline progression, identifying risks and opportunities. 
  • Ensure accuracy and discipline in forecasting processes. 
  • Drive and monitor daily sales activity for the team, tracking appointments, outcomes, and conversion rates. 
  • Monitor lead flow, response times, and turnaround metrics.
  • Establish and enforce accountability standards for rep productivity and performance. 
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly sales meetings with teams, partnering regularly with General Managers and Regional VP to reinforce performance expectations and align business priorities. 

Drive Strategic Regional Sales Growth

  • Drive market penetration and territory growth, including strategic planning to meet short-term and long-term commercial revenue goals while maintaining strong customer relationships. 
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales Director to identify and develop new market opportunities and customer segments. 
  • Create and execute quarterly sales incentive programs (SPIFFs) to drive engagement and performance. 
  • Conduct regional heat mapping to identify high-potential growth areas, including new market segments and targeted campaigns. 
  • Expand market presence through relationship building with stakeholders including A&E firms, specifiers, GCs, ECs, and ownership groups. 
  • Analyze sales data to uncover trends, gaps, and opportunities. 
  • Monitor marketplace dynamics including competition, pricing, product offerings, and delivery models. 

Oversee Sales Training

  • Work with Commercial Sales Trainers to design and deliver targeted selling and skills-based training sessions that are aligned to product lines and growth priorities (fire, access control, video). 
  • Build ongoing enablement programs to improve close rates and product attachment. 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma - required.  Bachelor’s Degreepreferred.
    • Must understand how to conduct business at an elevated level. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in sales management - required. 
    • Must have experience in the commercial space.
    • Experience in the security industry - required. 
    • Must have strong sales skills to be able to train and develop successful sales reps, with demonstrated ability to successfully lead team members to reach their goals. 
  • Valid Driver's License - required. 
    • Must be able to drive to branch and customer locations.
