Overview
Actian is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to own and grow our Data Intelligence enterprise business across the Northeast. This role focuses exclusively on enterprise accounts, selling across Actian’s portfolio including Data Catalog/Data Governance/Data Intelligence, Data Observability, Data Quality, Lineage, Data Products. /Marketplace and ETL. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in data management and data governance and excels at value-based, consultative selling with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed regional enterprise revenue targets
  • Drive net-new and expansion opportunities within large, complex organizations
  • Lead multi-stakeholder, enterprise sales cycles from discovery through close
  • Quantify and articulate business value, including:
  • Improved data trust, quality, and reliability
  • Reduced operational risk and manual effort
  • Faster, more efficient analytics and reporting
  • AI readiness with appropriate governance and guardrails to ensure trusted, responsible AI adoption
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing
  • Leverage cloud and technology partners to support enterprise sales motions

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience
  • Experience with MEDDICC / 3 Why's and value-based selling
  • Proven success selling data management, data governance, data observability and analytics 
  • Track record of closing complex, multi-year, six- and seven-figure enterprise deals
  • Strong executive presence and ability to sell at CIO/CDO/CTO level
  • Disciplined and methodical prospecting skill set and pipeline generation with proven success in obtaining net new logos 
  • Disciplined, value-oriented seller with strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
