PoC / PoV
PowerShell / Python / Bash
AWS / Azure / GCP、Kubernetes、
CISSP、OSCP、GIAC、CEH
We are hiring a high-touch Sales Engineer (Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer) for our Enterprise accounts in Japan. Through proposals and PoVs spanning the breadth of a single platform — endpoint, cloud, identity, Next-Gen SIEM and more — you will act as the technical lead for the Enterprise accounts you own.
About Role - What Makes This Role Different:
This is a high-touch SE role where you engage deeply with your Enterprise accounts. Rather than covering many opportunities, you own your accounts end to end — from technical requirements, through designing and running the PoV, to presenting the assessment report and sustaining the relationship. You become the technical counterpart the customer's IT organization, SOC, and CISO turn to.
You work across a portfolio at the leading edge of the market. Endpoint (EDR / XDR), cloud security (CNAPP), identity protection (ITDR), Next-Gen SIEM, threat intelligence, exposure management, and AI security — all delivered through a single agent and a single console, and all within your scope. The platform expands quickly and new domains keep arriving, so instead of being locked into one product as your career specialty, you keep adding technical domains that carry real market value. What you work on is not an individual product; it is the customer's entire security architecture.
You can propose a market-leading product with genuine pride. As the market leader, we are on the shortlist from the earliest stage of many evaluations. And because product quality is high, our win rate on deals that reach PoV is high as well. You face customers with real conviction in the technology you are presenting.
This role calls for strong presentation skills and hands-on validation in equal measure. You typically start by articulating the value of the solution in presentations to customer stakeholders, from hands-on engineers through to executives, and from there run a PoV (Proof of Value) in the customer's own environment and present the outcome as a PoV report or Security Assessment Report. Both your ability to communicate and your technical depth are what count.
You can build a public technical voice. Depending on your interests and strengths, you can speak at seminars and industry events and deliver technical sessions, broadening awareness of the CrowdStrike platform well beyond the accounts you own.
You are not left to figure it out alone. Reach product managers overseas directly over internal chat to confirm technical specifications, and in some product areas go into deals alongside Japan-based Specialist SEs. The team backs each other up, so even with a broad platform to cover, you can build the depth as you go.
Attrition on this team is very low. Our SE team in Japan has stayed together, with members remaining highly motivated over the long term. This opening is not a resignation backfill — the previous holder of the role was promoted.
This role has a track record of promotion. CrowdStrike SE careers branch into multiple tracks — Principal SE (the most senior SE role), Specialist SE (domain focus), and SE Manager (people management) — and this team has a track record of people moving into them.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the high-touch technical lead for assigned Enterprise accounts, owning proposals and supporting architecture design. Your counterparts will be IT departments, SOC teams, and CISOs.
Scope, design, and run PoVs (Proof of Value), then produce and present PoV reports based on the results.
Partner with your account executive to drive opportunities and contribute to quarterly revenue targets.
Analyze technical differentiation against competing products and share findings with customers and partners.
Provide technical feedback to HQ Product Management and Engineering, including Japan-specific feature requirements.
Contribute to broadening awareness of the CrowdStrike platform by speaking at seminars and events and delivering technical sessions, according to your interests and strengths.
Plan and run internal technical enablement sessions for the SE team and the sales organization, raising the technical bar across the organization.
What You'll Need:
5+ years of pre-sales experience with security or IT infrastructure products. Candidates who moved into pre-sales after hands-on experience in a SOC, CSIRT, or incident response function are equally welcome.
Demonstrated experience owning PoCs / PoVs end to end — from requirements definition through delivery and presentation of the assessment report.
Working knowledge across multiple CrowdStrike solution domains — EDR, identity security, cloud security, SIEM, AI security — sufficient to propose architecture grounded in a customer's existing environment.
Experience presenting or reporting to IT directors and CISO-level stakeholders.
English reading and writing proficiency (technical documentation, and email and chat with HQ engineers).
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
Bonus Points:
You do not need all of these. If you meet the requirements above, the following will strengthen your application.
Business-level spoken English.
Hands-on experience with malware analysis, forensics, or threat intelligence.
SOC operations, SOAR, or automation design and implementation experience.
Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP, Kubernetes, and container environments.
Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GIAC, or CEH.
Experience applying AI / LLMs in your work, or experience proposing AI-related solutions.
