Who we are looking for:

Position to be based out of the Northwest Region - ideally San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Sacramento, CA; Salt Lake City, UT or Seattle, WA.

We are currently searching for a Regional Sales Manager, Electrical Products for the Northwest region. Reporting to the VP Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will have primary responsibility for driving revenue and market share growth on all of Atkore’s Electrical Products across our business units through the development and execution of our Electrical Products Strategic Initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive continued growth for our product portfolio of Electrical Products through our network of agents and electrical distributors, as well as key end user influencers and specifiers at the architecture, electrical engineering, government/municipality, and electrical contractor levels.
  • Work with agent sales network to deliver top line revenue growth required to meet/exceed division goals.
  • Demand creation of existing, proprietary, and new products at end user level.
  • Educate, train & develop our Sales Agents and end users on products through lunch and learns, demonstrations, job site visits, and field training.
  • Develop strategic sales programs to deliver profitable regional growth.
  • Execute pre-call planning and in-depth reporting in Salesforce.com.
  • Enter, track, manage, and report on projects, opportunities, and territory sales plans using Salesforce.com and other tools as needed.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as needed.
  • Collaborate and partner closely with the Strategic Account sales leadership and the business unit commercial and operational teams.
  • Manage performance of Sales Agents and make changes as warranted.
  • Conduct sales objective reviews by product for all agencies and each direct salesperson.
  • Profile and report on competitive market intelligence, including strengths and weakness.
  • Identify opportunities for and drive process improvements working closely with functional departments and business units and create standard work.
  • Support buying group activities.
  • Manage travel & entertainment expenses in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participates with other projects, initiatives, duties and responsibilities as required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Must be willing and able to work remotely and travel 60% of the time.
  • Bachelor's Degree required with 5-10 years related experience in electrical sales.
  • Must have a minimum 5-10 years of proven electrical industry or related experience.
  • Excellent Communication, Negotiating Skills, Presentation Skills, Analytical Skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of Windows Applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Prior use of Salesforce preferred.
  • Must have experience working with electrical contractors and working knowledge of the NEC.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of your role, your team and department.
  • Gain an understanding of the training materials and processes your role requires.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Know the Atkore strategy and drive the key initiatives of the fiscal year.
  • Be familiar with relevant agents and learn how to work with them to deliver top line revenue growth.
  • Have an understanding on your market and be able to profile relevant strengths and weaknesses associated with that market.

Within 12 months, you’ll:

  • Coordinate opportunities to partner with Atkore regional specification managers for key accounts within region.
  • Fully utilize Salesforce.com for entering, tracking, and reporting of projects, opportunities, and territory sales.
  • Gain a full understanding on how to properly manage Sales Agents

 As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $123,440 - $169,730.  Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.  Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
