Regional Vice President, Sales — Maven AGICompany Overview

Maven AGI is an enterprise AI platform on a mission to unleash business artificial general intelligence (AGI), starting with customer service. We're scaling fast, with real enterprise traction and a lot of momentum — and we just launched Maven Voice, one of the first true voice-to-voice AI agents in production. It's a great time to join and help close our next marquee deal.

Founded in 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google, and Stripe, Maven builds conversational AI agents that don't just answer customers — they act: going into a customer's account, finding the actual problem, and fixing it, with no human required.

The platform plugs directly into a company's existing tools (Zendesk, Salesforce, Snowflake, and 100+ others) — no rip-and-replace — and spans chat, email, voice, and web through one AI reasoning engine. The long-term vision is Business AGI: every department, not just support, running on intelligent agents that execute, not just inform.

Customers like Dell, ServPro, HardRock, Tripadvisor, Clio, and Thumbtack rely on Maven, with independently verified results — customers report resolving the large majority of chats autonomously — and G2 has named Maven a High Performer and Best Meets Requirements across multiple categories this spring.

Position Overview

The Regional Vice President is a frontline sales leader who will build and lead a team of Enterprise Account Executives. You'll own a regional plan and territory build-out, develop your Account Executives, and instill a strong sales methodology.

What You'll Do
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional plan

  • Accelerate customer adoption across the territory

  • Build and continually grow a robust sales pipeline

  • Partner with channel and alliance partners to extend reach and drive adoption

  • Lead contract negotiations from proposal through close

  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

  • Own customer happiness and long-term success

  • Recruit and build out your regional sales team

Who You Are
  • 3+ years of formal sales leadership experience building and leading high-performing sales teams

  • High career trajectory and potential, with a track record of consistent overachievement

  • Experience operating in a start-up environment

  • Significant enterprise sales and strategic customer development experience

  • Skilled in practicing and implementing a formal sales methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC)

  • Track record closing large, complex deals across verticals within the Fortune 500

  • History of accurate forecasting and business reporting

  • Experience working with Salesforce and other sales tracking tools

How You Show Up
  • We are customer champions. You put users at the center of your thinking, advocate for their needs, and design solutions that make their lives measurably better.

  • We are bold in action. You move with urgency and courage, unafraid to challenge convention and take smart risks in pursuit of meaningful outcomes.

  • We are data-driven and insight guided. You make thoughtful decisions grounded in evidence, combining data with intuition to guide strategy and execution.

  • We are stronger together. You bring others along, value diverse perspectives, and contribute to a culture of trust and shared ownership.

What We Offer
  • 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums covered for you, 80% for family

  • HSA and FSA plans available

  • Unlimited vacation and 100% paid parental leave

  • Free lunches, onsite gym, and commuter benefits for in-office employees

  • $1,000 home office stipend and $5,000/year for continuing education

  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful equity

  • ~130 people, built from zero in under three years — small enough that your work is visible, big enough to already be running at Dell- and Thumbtack-scale

Maven AGI is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and is committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels included.

Join us in changing the face of enterprise customer support.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
