Rapid7 is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Renewal Account Manager to own and execute renewal and expansion strategies across a portfolio of mid-tier customers. In this high-impact position, the commercial contact leads key renewal discussions, coordinates cross-functional stakeholders, and ensures a seamless experience from quote to close. About the Role
As a Renewal Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead and execute renewal and expansion strategies across assigned mid-tier commercial accounts to maximize recurring revenue and customer retention. Specifically, your focus will be to:
- Manage full renewal lifecycles from initial outreach and commercial negotiations through contract completion.
- Proactively engage customer decision-makers, procurement, and channel partners to confirm renewal intent and resolve commercial blockers prior to expiration.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to identify, qualify, and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and account documentation within Salesforce, Clari, and internal reporting tools.
- Analyze renewal metrics and customer usage data to uncover trends, mitigate risk, and optimize renewal workflows.
- Support team enablement by contributing to renewal playbooks, best practices, and peer mentorship initiatives.
The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in SaaS renewals, account management, or commercial sales ownership experience with demonstrated retention success.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities to balance customer outcomes with business objectives.
- Proven experience in Salesforce and forecasting platforms to maintain forecast accuracy and operational rigor.
- Technical or cybersecurity industry experience with a strong understanding of SaaS subscription models.
- Bring strong accountability by establishing ownership, clear expectations, and driving outcomes that deliver value for customers and the business.
- Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration by working across sales, finance, customer success, and partner networks to deliver aligned results.
- Apply effective decision-making to resolve challenges, streamline contract approvals, and maintain operational momentum.
- Exercise clear communication and executive presence to influence key decision-makers and procurement teams.
