Job Description

Imagine working closely with many of the world’s largest sports properties, brands, and agencies worldwide to help them better understand their fans and how to best maximize sponsorship sales and investments.

The Research Manager  role for Nielsen Sports will be responsible for executing and managing research projects across all business verticals  to provide valuable analytics and insights to key clients.   

Responsiblities: 
 

  • The responsibilities for this role will be to work alongside the commercial Sports team, as well as our Market Research team to deliver actionable insights to our clients.
  • This person will help design the project, assist in fieldwork of the project, and create a report that can easily be utilized by the client.
  • Contextualize survey data into meaningful insights that help inform clients’ business strategies and succinctly answer critical questions
  • Utilize internal syndicated data sources to deliver a mixture of recurring and ad hoc reports for both internal and external clients
  • Manage and mentor colleagues
  • Assist the commercial team with new business opportunities, renewals, and upsells.
  • Help evolve the research offerings

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Market Research experience at a brand, agency or supplier

  • Significant experience with questionnaire/survey design, survey testing, QC’ing data

  • Strong knowledge of research methodologies, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Leadership skills and experience managing teams

  • Experience analyzing data via any of the following but not limited to: (SPSS, R, Qualtrics, Excel, Displayr)

  • Qualitative Market Research experience is a plus

  • Working with Microsoft Office tools

  • Managing projects independently
