Job Summary
The Reservations & Revenue Executive is responsible for managing room inventory, rates, and availability to maximize hotel revenue while ensuring seamless reservation processes and exceptional guest service. This role supports the Director of Revenue in forecasting, reporting, and implementing revenue strategies, while driving customer loyalty and achieving reservations and sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Inventory Management
•Manage rooms inventory, rate loading, restrictions, and room authorizations to maximize revenue and ensure straight-line availability.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date reservation system information at all times.
•Monitor compliance with company promotions, loyalty programs, and eCommerce distribution channels.
•Execute sales and revenue strategies within reservation and sales systems.
•Escalate technical or system-related issues related to reservations or PMS to the appropriate support desk in a timely manner.
Reporting & Forecasting Support
•Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and reservations reports for Hotel Management and the Director of Revenue.
•Assist the Director of Revenue with weekly and monthly forecasting activities.
•Support the preparation of agendas, presentations, and data analysis for revenue and strategy meetings.
Reservations & Customer Service
•Process all reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
•Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout every guest interaction.
•Accommodate, document, and follow up on special guest requests.
•Answer guest inquiries regarding room types, rates, hotel facilities, and services.
•Apply effective upselling and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
•Input, access, and manage data accurately within the reservation system.
•Ensure correct reservation coding, rate application, and room type designation.
Training & Collaboration
•Provide regular reservations system and process training for Front Office associates.
•Work closely with Front Office, Sales, and Revenue teams to achieve revenue and reservations objectives.
•Actively solicit and manage reservations-related sales opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
•Proven experience in Front Office and/or Reservations within a hotel environment.
•Strong sales and revenue optimization skills.
•High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
•Advanced knowledge of Opera PMS.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Preferred
•Experience working with Marsha and Empower Reservations systems.
•Experience with the One Yield RMS (or similar, if no Marriott experience)
•Basic knowledge of MarRFP or similar platforms (e.g., Lanyon).
•Familiarity with One Source and CVENT.
•Previous exposure to revenue management or distribution environments.
