Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role
You help report revenue accurately and on time under GAAP and ASC 606, working across the order-to-cash process and month-end close. You collaborate with legal, business development, sales, and other functions to keep Samba compliant with revenue recognition policies, and you report to the Revenue Manager.

What You'll Do
  • Apply Revenue Recognition: Ensure the proper accounting treatment of revenue under GAAP (ASC 606), applying basic revenue recognition rules and creating sales orders from standard contract reviews.
  • Schedule and Post Revenue: Prepare revenue waterfall schedules, ensure the revenue plan in NetSuite is accurate, and post monthly revenue journal entries.
  • Support Month-End Close: Support the month-end close by preparing accrual calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations for related accounts.
  • Support Invoicing: Facilitate the preparation of invoices, and communicate with customers to address and resolve invoice-related questions.
  • Track Forecasts Versus Actuals: Collaborate internally and externally on revenue and margin forecasts versus actuals, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support External Audits: Participate in external audits by helping with auditor requests.
  • Document and Improve: Maintain and improve related procedure documentation, and take on ad hoc projects as assigned.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience, including working experience with ASC 606.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with enterprise accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, task-based, and deadline-focused, able to multi-task and work as a team in a high-volume, high-accuracy environment.
  • A plus: experience with digital advertising or adtech, and public company experience.
