About The Role"Our Sales team is growing at The RealReal, and we're seeking self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our team! Revenue Development Specialist is a hybrid role within our Remote Sales organization that combines outbound business development with consultative selling. You'll build new relationships, re-engage past consignors, and step in to support existing client books when needed, playing a critical role in driving revenue growth across multiple sales channels. If you're customer-obsessed, agile, and driven to excel in a fully-remote, competitive sales environment, this could be the perfect fit!

WEST:Eligible work locations: AL, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, IL, LA, NM, MN, MO, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN (CST), TX, UT, WA"

What You Get To Do Everyday

  • Build and manage your own outbound sales pipeline by reconnecting with past clients and developing new opportunities

  • Assume ownership of active consignor books during Concierge and Inside Sales leaves of absence, seamlessly continuing relationships, maintaining momentum, and driving opportunities through to close.

  • Build real conversations, not just contact attempts, engaging consignors across phone, text, email, and chat, and guiding them through the full journey from qualification through close

  • Work with agility in a hybrid position, moving fluidly between prospecting and closing as your coverage assignments shift week to week

  • Bridge naturally across teams, picking up on how BDR, Field Sales, and Inside Sales workflows connect, and keep your CRM records accurate across every book you touch

  • Own your performance and your trajectory — track your numbers, know what they tell you, and use that insight to improve. At The RealReal, strong performance opens real doors: reps who master this hybrid role build a clear path toward Inside Sales leadership and beyond

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements

  • 1–3 years of sales experience with a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding your numbers, and you're comfortable owning a full book independently, from first outreach through close

  • A natural communicator who builds rapport quickly, stays composed under pressure, and keeps a conversation moving with confidence and care

  • You keep multiple priorities moving without dropping details, and your curiosity shows up in conversations — you listen for what consignors actually need

  • Clear and compelling across every channel, whether you're on the phone, firing off a text, or crafting a follow-up email

  • Confident closing consignors, not just qualifying them, and agile enough to move easily between prospecting and closing without missing a beat when priorities shift

  • Self-directed and accountable, with sound judgment and high integrity in how you manage relationships and make decisions, especially when things are ambiguous

  • Hungry to grow, you take feedback seriously and iterate on your approach, and you're a natural bridge-builder across teams, picking up on how BDR, Field, and Inside Sales workflows connect

  • Available full-time (40 hours/week)

Preferred Requirements

  • A passion for fashion, luxury, or resale — you get excited about what we sell and who we serve
