Own RF hardware verification from test planning through execution and analysis. Develop test plans, build laboratory setups, operate RF instruments, troubleshoot failing hardware, analyze measurements, and communicate findings. Contribute Python code to automated testing, collaborate with hardware engineers, and maintain calibrated test equipment. The role covers RF components, software-defined radios, signal chains, mixed-signal hardware, and potentially environmental and military-standard testing.

The Company

AnySignal is developing the next generation of RF products and services for some of the most demanding space and defense missions. We’re building a flexible, high-performance platform that’s easy to deploy, monitor, and scale — enabling customers to bring advanced radio technologies to life faster than ever before.

The role

We’re hiring an RF Test Engineer to make sure our RF hardware, from individual components to complete software-defined radios and signal chains, performs as designed. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to shape how a growing company builds and verifies its RF products.

You'll own RF tests from first plan to final data: writing the plans and procedures, building the setups, running tests, and drawing conclusions from test results. Expect to move between bench hardware and code, using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, VNAs and similar instruments alongside automated test code you help create.

What you'll do

  • Work with hardware design engineers to turn product requirements into test plans

  • Run tests, record the data, and share findings with the people who need them

  • Use lab equipment to help with new hardware bring-up and perform root cause analyses on failing hardware

  • Write code in Python to contribute to our existing automated test framework

  • Manage test equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and maintained properly

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in electrical or computer engineering from an accredited school

  • 2+ years of relevant work, including real industry time building, analyzing and deploying RF test systems

  • Bench time with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and vector network analyzers

  • Deep, practical command of RF measurements such as linearity, NSD and EVM

Preferred experience

  • Experience with Python for controlling test equipment

  • A working grasp of RF and mixed-signal parts like amplifiers, filters, data converters and antennas

  • Familiarity with environmental testing such as vibration, thermal cycling and thermal vacuum.

  • Testing standards such as SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-461G

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000 per year, plus equity. This range reflects our good-faith estimate for this position at the time of posting. The final base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base salary, total compensation includes an equity grant and our full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision), HSA's and 401K program.

Export Control Requirements

To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
