Civ Robotics is looking for a hands-on Robotics Operations Specialist to support the deployment, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing use of our robotic systems in real-world construction environments.
This role is a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in the drone, robotics, field technology, or hardware support space. The ideal candidate does not need to be a traditional engineer, but should be comfortable working with technical equipment, basic electronics, mechanical components, field troubleshooting, and customer training.
We are especially interested in someone who trained customers or users on drone systems, and enjoys being in the field supporting customers directly.
You will support robot deployments across the U.S. and internationally.
- Support the deployment, setup, testing, and troubleshooting of Civ's systems in the field.
- Train customers on how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Civ's systems.
- Provide technical support to customers both on-site and remotely.
- Travel to customer job sites across the U.S. and internationally, including KSA and UAE.
- Prepare, test, and verify robots before shipment and before customer deployment.
- Perform hands-on work with electrical components, sensors, batteries, wiring, basic mechanical parts, and related hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, electrical, mechanical, and basic software issues in the field.
- Support field testing, product validation, and deployment readiness activities.
- Gather customer feedback and field insights to help improve robot performance, reliability, usability, and training materials.
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to improve documentation, support processes, and customer training.
- Use tools, testing procedures, and software systems to confirm robots are operating as expected before and after deployment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in drone operations, robotics, field technical support, hardware support, technical training, or similar field-based technical roles.
- Experience working with drones, robotics, autonomous systems, or other field-deployed technical hardware.
- Experience training customers, operators, or end users on how to use technical products or equipment.
- Comfortable working with basic electronics, wiring, sensors, batteries, mechanical assemblies, and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Experience with basic electrical or mechanical assembly, repair, or maintenance.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues in real-world field environments.
- Familiarity with software tools, firmware updates, logs, diagnostics, or basic technical debugging.
- Experience with construction, surveying, mapping, GNSS/GPS, field data collection, or other outdoor technical environments.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers, operators, and internal teams.
- Comfortable working directly with customers in the field and providing support under pressure.
- Self-sufficient, reliable, and able to take ownership of field deployments, customer training, and support situations.
- Comfortable working in a startup or fast-moving technical environment.
- Willingness to travel for short domestic trips and international occasional trips.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Work on real-world robotics systems deployed across active construction sites.
- Join a fast-growing robotics company transforming the infrastructure construction industry.
- Gain hands-on experience across robotics hardware, field operations, customer training, and global deployments.
- Work closely with customers and help them successfully adopt practical robotics technology.
- Collaborate with a mission-driven team building technology at scale.
- Competitive compensation and stock options in a growing early-stage startup.
- Health, Dental, and Vision benefits.
