Job Description:

We are looking for a Sales Analyst to join our Foundations team in Fremont or San Rafael, California. The Nextpower Sales Analyst will input and manage all aspects of customer projects information within the CRM system, generate quotations and comprehensive proposals based on project technical requirements and customer specific needs. The Sales Analyst works closely with the Project Engineering, Logistics, Operations and Finance teams to ensure that Nextpower is consistently exceeding customer expectations while ensuring sales maintains maximum margin contribution. This role will include a mix of internal and external management responsibilities. Internally, coordinating and driving departments to provide associated inputs to quotations. Externally, following up with customers for information and tasking work to outside contractors. The Sales Analyst will support Account Managers, Sales Directors and other Sales Leaders on the Global Sales Team with significant learning opportunities.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Coordinate sales proposal process and generate quotes

  • Provide creative input to bid strategy

  • Track sales activities using NetSuite ERP and Salesforce.com CRM systems

  • Manage all CRM system reporting, improvements and modifications

  • Generate Sales reports & Presentations, and present to a wide variety of stake holders

  • Create and maintain sales models, ensuring positive contribution margin on all Nextpower sales

  • Work closely with the Global Sales/Business Development Team on creative deal structuring and bid strategy

  • Work closely with Marketing & Product Management Team to provide input on new products

  • Work with Customer Care to ensure efficient communications and provide excellent customer satisfaction

  • Continually streamline, standardize and improve proposal templates, bankability binders, and client presentations

  • Form excellent working relationships with other Nextpower departments, including Customer Applications, Cost Accounting, Logistics, and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery and best in class quality of all Nextpower products.

  • Periodically analyze orders and quotes to determine hit rates, top market segments, effectiveness of different value propositions, sources of leads, etc

  • Support the Director of Sales and Account Mangers on an ad-hoc basis

 

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

  • BS/BA in a business or technical field (MBA desired)

  • Sales analysis, financial analysis, business development, and/or program management experience

  • Solar experience a plus

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience utilizing CRM tools, Salesforce.com is a plus

  • Strong financial modeling skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Passion for solar, always a plus

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$90,000.00. (Applicable to California)
