Title: Inbound Sales Development Representative

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation: $50,000 - $52,500 base + uncapped commission

Job Type: Full-time

About Us

Demandforce, founded in 2003 and based in San Francisco, is an award-winning software company helping small businesses grow through smarter communication. Our platform includes marketing automation, appointment reminders, reputation management, and 24/7 online booking.

We’re a fast-paced, collaborative team committed to helping businesses thrive—and we’re growing fast! Our Sales Development Representatives work closely with Account Executives to understand prospective customers’ business needs, identify the right opportunities, and create a strong first experience with Demandforce.

What’s in it for you:

  • $50,000 - $52,500 base salary + uncapped commission

  • Paid training + 2-month commission guarantee

  • Career advancement path to Account Executive

  • Hands-on experience with sales tools and technology, including Salesforce and ZoomInfo

  • Ongoing sales coaching and development

  • A collaborative, supportive team environment

  • Communication, discovery, and sales skills you can build on throughout your career

Who You Are:

  • Motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented

  • A strong conversationalist who can build rapport quickly

  • Naturally curious and comfortable asking questions to understand what a prospect really needs

  • Comfortable thinking on your feet and navigating unexpected questions

  • Organized and able to manage multiple conversations, follow-ups, and lead sources at once

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Confident on the phone and comfortable communicating through phone, email, and live chat

  • Able to recognize buying signals, uncover a prospect’s needs, and confidently guide the conversation toward a next step

  • Coachable, open to feedback, and interested in continuously improving

  • Resilient - not every conversation results in a meeting. You know when to push, when to pivot, and how to move on to the next opportunity

  • Able to work independently and in a team

How You’ll Do It:

This is not a traditional cold-calling-only SDR role. You’ll be one of the first people prospective customers speak with when they contact Demandforce.

Throughout the day, you’ll respond to inbound leads from phone calls, website inquiries, live chat, marketing campaigns, and other channels while also completing outbound follow-up. The role averages approximately 65 inbound and outbound calls per day in addition to email and chat activity.

Some prospects will know exactly what they’re looking for. Others may simply know they have a problem they want to solve. Your job is to quickly understand what’s happening in their business, ask the right questions, communicate how Demandforce may be able to help, and determine whether it makes sense to schedule a deeper conversation with an Account Executive.

You’ll need to balance speed with quality. Responding quickly matters, but so does making each conversation count.

  • Respond quickly to new inbound prospects and follow up consistently

  • Build rapport and lead productive, consultative conversations

  • Ask strong discovery questions to understand the prospect’s business, challenges, and priorities

  • Identify qualified opportunities and confidently ask prospects to schedule a meeting

  • Handle common questions and objections without getting thrown off

  • Maintain organized follow-up across calls, email, chat, and sales tools

  • Work closely with Account Executives to create a smooth handoff and give them useful context before each appointment

  • Learn Demandforce’s products, customers, competitors, and the industries we serve

  • Participate in ongoing coaching and development

  • Meet activity, appointment-setting, and performance goals

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid time off + holidays

  • FSA for medical and dependent care

  • Life & disability insurance

  • Commuter benefits, EAP, and more
