As the first Alliances Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, expanding, and optimizing Abnormal’s technical alliances ecosystem. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Alliances teams to ensure that our integrations are technically sound, drive business impact, and enhance our customers’ security posture.
This is a foundational role, where you will define how Abnormal AI engages with technology partners from a technical standpoint, ensuring seamless integration, strong technical alignment, and long-term partnership success.
What You’ll Do- Own the technical execution of existing technical alliances, ensuring integrations remain aligned with partner platforms and deliver customer value.
- Define and drive the roadmap for new technology integrations, working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to expand Abnormal’s ecosystem.
- Lead technical evaluations and integration planning for new alliance partners, ensuring compatibility and seamless interoperability with Abnormal’s platform.
- Manage API integrations and technical workflows, identifying and resolving technical challenges to optimize joint solutions with partners.
- Work closely with alliance partner technical teams, ensuring Abnormal’s platform is well-positioned, well-integrated, and a valuable addition to their ecosystem.
- Enable Sales and Customer Success teams with technical knowledge on existing integrations, ensuring they can effectively articulate the value of Abnormal’s alliances.
- Develop technical documentation, integration guides, and best practices for internal and external use.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations, ensuring they remain functional, scalable, and valuable to customers.
- Represent Abnormal AI at partner events, technical conferences, and joint webinars, strengthening relationships and driving awareness of our integrations.
- Gather and communicate partner and customer feedback, influencing product roadmaps and integration strategies.
- 7-10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical alliances, or technical partner management, preferably in cybersecurity or cloud security.
- Hands-on experience managing API-based integrations, with an understanding of authentication, data flows, and security best practices.
- Technical expertise in email security, cloud security, SIEM/SOAR, identity management, or security automation.
- Strong ability to evaluate and execute technology integrations, collaborating with both internal and partner technical teams.
- Experience working with technology partners and alliances, with a proven ability to build and optimize joint technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, able to articulate integration value to technical and business stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset, capable of developing scalable technical integration frameworks for long-term growth.
- Self-starter mentality, comfortable building from scratch in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel for partner engagements, technical events, and industry conferences.
- Experience developing and managing an integrations marketplace or technology partner ecosystem.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and other common integration technologies.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security, or Google Cloud Security Engineer.
- Previous startup or high-growth company experience.
