Within the Video Security & Access Control division, our Focused Accounts Sales Team (FAST) powers "Solving for safer" by delivering cutting-edge physical security ecosystem solutions—combining video security, analytics, sensors, and access control technologies to empower customer outcomes in the moments that matter.
Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Avigilon's solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.
Job Description

We are seeking a high-energy, technical Sales Engineer to join our Focused Accounts Sales Team (FAST). In this role, you will be a key technical partner driving outcomes-based physical security solutions across our video security and access control portfolio. You will work side-by-side with sales teams, manufacturing representatives, channel partners, and enterprise customers to articulate technology differentiators and design mission-critical systems.

As a technical expert, you will demonstrate our video analytics, cameras, sensors, and touchless access technologies to business and technical stakeholders. You will lead pre-sales technical engagements, conduct compelling product demonstrations, and design end-to-end solutions that expand our ecosystem footprint. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is valued.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Enablement & Partner Engagement

  • Deliver high-impact product training and technical knowledge transfer to sales teams, manufacturing representatives, channel partners, and end-users

  • Articulate technology differentiators and demonstrate outcomes-based value propositions to both business leadership and technical decision-makers

  • Conduct compelling in-person and remote product demonstrations, leading technical architecture discussions across the sales cycle

System Design & Solution Architecture

  • Support sales teams in responding to RFPs by accurately designing, specifying, and quoting video security and access control systems

  • Proactively identify stakeholders, evaluate technical risks during sales engagements, and propose effective mitigation strategies

  • Manage demo equipment assets to ensure seamless execution of technical validation activities

Customer Relationship & Post-Sales Collaboration

  • Build and nurture strong technical relationships with key customer stakeholders and channel partners to support revenue targets

  • Partner closely with customer success and technical support teams to help ensure smooth post-sales transitions and ongoing customer satisfaction

  • Perform on-site technical support for integration, complex troubleshooting, and customer enablement as required across the territory

Job Requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Networking & IP Communication to analyze and troubleshoot network topology, IP protocols, and system routing

  • System Design & Hardware to configure, specify, and troubleshoot computer hardware, network equipment, and integrated video/access systems

  • Windows Administration to utilize Windows troubleshooting tools and diagnostic techniques effectively

  • Physical Security Technologies to demonstrate and design solutions utilizing cameras, analytics, sensors, and access control systems

Professional Experience

  • Sales Collaboration to partner proactively with account managers to achieve territory sales targets and strategic growth goals

  • Technical Communication to deliver clear technical presentations, lead architectural discussions, and communicate value propositions across written and verbal channels

  • Analytical Problem Solving to evaluate complex customer requirements and resolve technical obstacles during the sales process

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Degree or diploma in technology, engineering, or a related field

  • Microsoft and/or Cisco network certifications

  • Certifications in competitive video surveillance or access control platform products

  • Prior hands-on experience within the physical security or video surveillance industry

Target Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $130-000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
