Description

San Rafael, CA | Mercedes-Benz | Premium luxury brand | Bay Area | Award-winning store | Veterans encouraged to apply | $72,000 - $180,000+ OTE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

Mercedes-Benz of Marin is an award-winning, high-volume store serving one of the most affluent and relationship-driven markets in the Bay Area. Our guests are sophisticated, loyal, and return to the people who earn their trust. The Sales Manager who joins this team sets the standard on the floor every day -- and has direct influence over the team, the culture, and the store's performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and develop the sales team daily -- coaching consultants, running structured desking sessions, and driving consistent production

• Desk deals with precision, urgency, and integrity -- structuring transactions that work for the guest and the business

• Manage floor coverage and the guest experience from first contact through delivery

• Monitor individual and team performance against key metrics -- units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, and CRM compliance

• Partner with the finance department to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience

• Support inventory management in coordination with the GSM -- monitoring turn, aging, and lot activity

• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants

• Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and professionalism

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of automotive sales management experience in a franchised dealership -- Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand experience strongly preferred

• Proven track record of leading a sales team to consistent performance -- units, gross, and CSI

• Confident at the desk -- able to structure deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest relationship intact

• Strong CRM discipline and the ability to build a culture of follow-up and process accountability on the floor

• Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred

• Professional, polished communicator who earns the trust of the team and the respect of the guest

• A hospitality mindset -- you lead by example and understand that how we sell is every bit as important as how much we sell

WHAT WE OFFER

OTE of $72,000 - $180,000+ annually

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

• Paid time off and paid holidays

• Paid Mercedes-Benz manufacturer and leadership training

• Career growth -- strong Sales Managers at Swickard grow into GSM and GM roles across a 40+ rooftop organization

• Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

• The opportunity to lead at one of the most recognized Mercedes-Benz stores in the Bay Area

WHY MERCEDES-BENZ OF MARIN

• An award-winning, high-volume Mercedes-Benz store with a loyal, high-net-worth guest base in one of the most prestigious markets in Northern California

• Marin County's affluent, relationship-driven clientele rewards managers who lead with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the guest experience

• A well-established store with strong volume and the operational infrastructure to support a Sales Manager who wants to lead and grow

• Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

• Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- are the foundation of how we lead, hire, and serve every guest

• A GSM and leadership team that sets clear expectations, gives its managers room to lead, and invests in the people who deliver

Mercedes-Benz of Marin has the brand prestige, the market, and the sales culture to give a skilled Sales Manager a genuinely compelling place to perform and grow. This is a store with a reputation worth protecting and a guest base that rewards consistent, professional leadership on the floor.

If you're a proven sales leader ready to represent one of the most respected luxury brands in the Bay Area -- we'd like to meet you.
