We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Business Consultant in Salesforce Data to join our Kelley Austin Perficient Salesforce Team. This role is hybrid, and you may be asked to go into a Perficient office several days a week.
We are looking for a Senior Consultant who can operate at the intersection of enterprise data architecture, Salesforce Data Cloud, and client-facing problem-solving. This role is not about deck production or checkbox delivery—it requires strong analytical judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate business goals into technically sound data models and activation strategies.
You will work directly with senior client stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams to design scalable, high-quality data foundations that support analytics, AI, and operational use cases.
Perficient is the global AI-First consultancy. Our team of strategists, designers, technologists, and engineers partners with the world’s most innovative enterprises and admired brands to deliver real business results through the transformative power of AI.

As a Salesforce Partner and trusted MuleSoft advisor, we combine strategic guidance, industry accelerators, and AI-powered solutions across healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and more to help clients unlock the full potential of the Salesforce ecosystem.
Perficient is always looking for the best and brightest talent and we need you! We’re a quickly-growing, global digital consulting leader, and we’re transforming the world’s largest enterprises and biggest brands. You’ll work with the latest technologies, expand your skills, and become a part of our global community of talented, diverse, and knowledgeable colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Translate the overall design into clear data requirements and architectures
- Design and review canonical data models, calculated insights, and segmentation strategies
- Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly and efficiently
- Identify risks early (data quality, identity fragmentation, governance gaps)
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to internal best practices and repeatable assets
What We’re Looking For
- Strong systems thinker who understands how data decisions cascade downstream
- Comfortable pushing back when requirements are incoherent or misaligned
- Can explain why a design works, not just how
- Able to operate without rigid templates or excessive oversight
Required Experience
- 3+ years in data, analytics, CRM, or enterprise systems consulting
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (or equivalent CDP / data platform)
- Strong understanding of:
- Data modeling (relational & analytical)
- Identity resolution concepts
- Data ingestion patterns (batch, streaming, API-based)
- Experience working directly with clients in a delivery or advisory capacity
- Ability to read and reason about queries; expertise not required
Nice to Have (Not Gatekeepers)
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or data lakes/warehouses in general
- Exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, manufacturing, financial services)
- Familiarity with Salesforce core platform, Marketing Cloud suite, Service Cloud, or Agentforce
Prior architecture or technical leadership responsibilities
What This Role Is Not
- Not a project manager
- Not a deck-only “strategy” role
- Not a junior hands-on developer role
