Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components where applicable, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
- Build and enhance custom objects, fields, validation rules, flows, approval processes, reports, dashboards, and other declarative Salesforce capabilities.
- Develop reusable and scalable Lightning components, Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous processing solutions.
- Participate in requirements-gathering sessions and translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Design and support integrations between Salesforce and internal or third-party applications using REST, SOAP, platform events, middleware, and other integration patterns.
- Write clean, testable, well-documented code that follows Salesforce development best practices and established coding standards.
- Create and maintain unit tests to meet Salesforce code-coverage requirements and support reliable deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement timely fixes and improvements.
- Support release planning, deployment activities, environment management, and change-control processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, reusable components, and Salesforce platform governance.
- Assist with data migration, data quality, data cleansing, and ongoing data-management initiatives as needed.
- Maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, configuration details, and deployment notes.
- 3–5 years of professional hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong experience with Salesforce development technologies, including:
- Apex classes, triggers, test classes, and asynchronous Apex.
- Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- SOQL and SOSL.
- Salesforce Flows and declarative automation.
- Salesforce security model, including profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Salesforce REST and/or SOAP APIs.
- Experience working with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or custom Salesforce applications.
- Understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle practices, including sandbox management, source control, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience using version-control tools such as Git.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, application design principles, and debugging techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in or commute to the Houston, Texas location, based on the organization’s onsite or hybrid work requirements.
- Java development experience or a strong Java background, including object-oriented design, RESTful services, enterprise integrations, and modern development practices.
- Experience with Java frameworks, APIs, microservices, or enterprise application integrations.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification; Platform Developer II certification is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Salesforce DevOps practices, such as Salesforce DX, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Copado, Gearset, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with middleware and integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or similar tools.
- Experience with Salesforce data tools, including Data Loader, Workbench, bulk APIs, and ETL/data-integration processes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, oil and gas, renewables, commodities, or related industry is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of relevant Salesforce development experience, technical training, and certifications will be considered.
