Lead a team delivering end-to-end Salesforce integration solutions: plan sprints, design and build APIs/middleware (MuleSoft/Boomi/Informatica), enforce coding standards, modernize integration landscape, troubleshoot issues, mentor developers, and coordinate testing/deployment and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Salesforce integration developers in end-to-end delivery of integration solutions across enterprise applications and platforms.
- Own sprint-level delivery of Salesforce integration workstreams — planning, execution, quality, and release — aligned to the integration architecture.
- Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to translate integration requirements into technical designs and implementation tasks.
- Build and maintain APIs, middleware integrations, event-driven solutions, and data synchronization flows using Salesforce platform capabilities and integration tools.
- Lead hands-on development using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or other enterprise integration platforms; set implementation standards for the team.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure integration solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze the existing integration landscape (connectors, middleware, data flows, and SLAs) and propose modernization approaches — API-first, event-driven, middleware consolidation, or cloud-native patterns — with migration impact and roll-out plans.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor and guide developers on Salesforce integration patterns, platform best practices, and coding standards.
- Produce and maintain implementation-level documentation including integration flow diagrams, API mappings, runbooks, and test plans.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and release management teams to support testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Salesforce development and integration, with at least 3 years in a technical lead capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Platform capabilities.
- Proficiency in Salesforce APIs, Apex, Lightning Components, and integration frameworks.
- Experience building and delivering integrations using middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or similar.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, ETL processes, and data integration patterns.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments; able to manage team workload across sprints.
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce Platform Developer or Administrator certification.
- MuleSoft Anypoint Platform implementation experience.
- Event-driven architecture implementation (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- API management and gateway configuration experience.
- OAuth, SAML, JWT, and security protocol implementation experience.
- CI/CD and DevOps practices for integration pipelines.
- Salesforce Integration Architect or Application Architect certification (desirable, not required).
Experience
- 8–12+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3+ years leading Salesforce integration delivery teams in enterprise programmes.
