Aptos is a people-first blockchain on a mission to help billions of people achieve universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way.

Founded by some of the original creators and maintainers that researched, designed, and built the Diem blockchain to serve this purpose, we have dedicated several years toward this mission. We believe the open-source Diem technology we have developed is an important foundation of a safe and scalable web3 world where everyone has more equitable opportunities to grow and access financial assets with lower fees and fewer intermediaries.

Aptos (Ohlone for "The People") encompasses our mission and ethos for why we build.

About the role:

At Aptos Labs, we’re pioneering the future of web3 and looking for a Security Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive and scale security initiatives across the organization. In this role, you’ll coordinate and align efforts including compliance (e.g., ISO27001), software auditing validator software and applications, as well as security-oriented partnerships helping safe guard both Aptos Labs and the broader Aptos network. This is an opportunity to help secure the foundation of the next-generation decentralized internet.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive cross-functional security programs from design through execution, ensuring low operative overhead.
  • Manage and coordinate security incident response planning and execution.
  • Build and maintain project roadmaps, metrics, and documentation to support visibility and accountability across security initiatives.
  • Facilitate threat modeling, risk assessments, and audit preparation across all stacks.
  • Partner with security, product, and engineering leaders to define measures that demonstrate the security health of the team's products and services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of technical program management experience in security-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of security engineering concepts, secure development practices, and threat modeling.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience coordinating compliance, audit, or privacy-related programs.
  • Understanding of smart contracts and blockchain security risks.
  • Experience working with organizations that have or maintain open source or source available products along with closed source offerings.

Our Benefits

  • 100% insurance premium coverage for medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents (US Employees)
  • Equipment of your choice
  • Flexible vacation time, 11 holidays, and floating company days off
  • Competitive Salary
  • Protocol Token Grants
  • 401k matching (US Employees)
