The Senior Account Director drives revenue growth by managing key technology advertiser relationships, developing new business, and leading complex sales cycles while mentoring junior team members.
The Opportunity:
Spiceworks Ziff Davis is seeking a Senior Account Director to drive strategic revenue growth across North America. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for managing and expanding relationships with some of the industry's largest technology advertisers, developing new business opportunities, and delivering integrated marketing solutions that help clients achieve measurable business outcomes.
The Senior Account Director will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, contribute to sales best practices across the organisation, and play a key role in helping shape the growth of the North American business.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Revenue Growth
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic technology advertisers and agencies.
- Develop and execute account growth plans across key accounts.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
- Consistently exceed revenue targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Sell integrated marketing solutions including intent data, demand generation, content, research, and advertising programmes.
Build Executive Relationships
- Establish trusted relationships with senior marketing leaders and agency executives.
- Understand client business objectives and align SWZD solutions to their priorities.
- Lead executive-level presentations, negotiations, and strategic planning discussions.
- Develop long-term partnerships that drive recurring revenue growth.
Lead Complex Sales Cycles
- Manage large and complex opportunities from prospecting through close.
- Coordinate internal resources to deliver best-in-class client solutions.
- Maintain strong forecasting discipline and pipeline management within Salesforce.
- Accurately communicate business outlook and risks to leadership.
Industry Leadership
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments.
- Bring market insights back to the organisation to strengthen positioning and strategy.
- Share best practices and mentor less experienced sales team members.
Serve as a role model for sales execution, forecasting, and client engagement.
Job Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience selling marketing, media, intent data, demand generation, or advertising solutions.
- Proven track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar annual revenue targets.
- Experience managing strategic enterprise technology accounts.
- Strong network and established relationships across the technology marketing and advertising ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline, develop new business, and grow existing accounts.
- Excellent consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and executive presence.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into Fortune 1000 technology brands.
- Existing relationships with enterprise technology marketers and agencies.
- Experience within B2B media, technology publishing, intent data, marketing services, or demand generation businesses.

Compensation Range
Spiceworks Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000. With commission, the total on-target earnings (OTE) are projected at $325,000 or more. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education, and training, as well as business and company performance.
