About 7AI

7AI is building the next generation of AI-driven security operations. Our platform uses agentic AI systems to automate investigation, response, and security workflows, enabling security teams and service providers to operate with greater speed, scale, and intelligence.

7AI works with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), Managed Detection and Response providers (MDRs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and System Integrators (SIs) to help them modernize their SOC operations and deliver next-generation AI-powered security services.

We are expanding our sales team with experienced cybersecurity sellers who understand the operational realities of managed security services and large security delivery organizations, and who can help bring AI-native security operations to the service provider and integrator market.

Role Overview

7AI is seeking an experienced Account Executive responsible for driving revenue within the MSSP, MDR, MSP, and System Integrator ecosystem.

This role focuses on acquiring and expanding relationships with organizations that deliver managed security services or security transformation programs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity sales and understands how service providers and integrators build and operate SOC-based services.

Candidates should be able to communicate the operational value of agentic AI in security operations and how automation can transform the economics and scalability of managed security services.

This is a high-impact role responsible for developing pipeline, managing complex sales cycles, and closing strategic deals with security service providers and integrators.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close within MSSP, MDR, MSP, and System Integrator organizations.

  • Drive new revenue through strategic engagement with service provider executives, security leaders, and SOC operations teams.

  • Develop relationships with CISOs, heads of security operations, SOC directors, managed service leadership, and security practice leaders within system integrators.

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline within the service provider and integrator market through outbound prospecting, industry relationships, and targeted account development.

  • Identify opportunities where 7AI can enhance or transform managed detection and response services and security operations offerings.

  • Manage complex sales cycles that involve technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.

Solution Selling

  • Clearly communicate how agentic AI transforms security operations through autonomous investigation, response, and workflow automation.

  • Position 7AI as a platform that enables service providers and integrators to deliver more scalable and efficient security services.

  • Work with technical teams to demonstrate how 7AI integrates into existing security stacks such as SIEM, XDR, EDR, and security automation platforms.

Market Engagement

  • Maintain strong awareness of trends in SOC operations, security automation, and managed security services.

  • Represent 7AI within the service provider and system integrator ecosystem through industry engagement and customer relationships.

  • Provide feedback from the field to product and marketing teams to help refine product positioning and sales strategy.

Required Experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in cybersecurity sales.

  • At least 5 years of experience either selling MSSP, MDR, MSP, or security services, or selling cybersecurity technology directly into MSSP, MDR, MSP, or System Integrator organizations.

  • Proven track record of closing complex cybersecurity deals.

  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical teams, security leaders, and executive buyers.

  • Strong understanding of security operations and SOC workflows.

  • Ability to communicate the value of AI-driven automation in cybersecurity environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling security operations technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR, or detection and response platforms.

  • Operational familiarity with SOC environments and detection and response workflows.

  • Understanding of agentic AI concepts and autonomous systems in cybersecurity operations.

  • Experience working with or selling into large security service providers or system integrators.

  • Strong professional network within the MSSP, MDR, MSP, or system integrator ecosystem.

Characteristics of Successful Candidates

Successful candidates for this role typically have experience selling into organizations such as Arctic Wolf, Secureworks, ReliaQuest, eSentire, Expel, Optiv, Accenture, IBM Security, Wipro, Deloitte, or other major security service providers and system integrators. A secondary list of potential candidate companies can be SIEM Vendors and security tool stack vendors selling into MDR/MSSP. Top performers in this role demonstrate:

  • Strong strategic prospecting and account development skills.

  • Technical credibility with security practitioners and SOC leadership.

  • Consultative sales approach focused on solving operational challenges.

  • Ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles.

  • Comfort operating in fast-growing startup environments.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 12 months, this individual will build a strong pipeline within the MSSP, MDR, MSP, and system integrator ecosystem, close strategic customers, and establish 7AI as a key technology platform for AI-driven security operations.

Location

Remote within the United States.

Compensation
