The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this individual will play a critical role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, annual audit, equity accounting, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical accounting foundation with a passion for automation, operational excellence, and scalable processes. This role is defined for a high-performing accounting professional who is ready to develop into an Accounting Manager within the next few years.

Location: San Francisco, CA (3 days/week in office—Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). #LI-Hybrid

What You'll Do
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses for assigned GL areas (fixed assets, prepaids, leases, accruals, intercompany)
  • Own the equity roll-forward and stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718), partnering with Legal, HR, and Carta
  • Prepare supporting schedules and footnotes for audited financial statements
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors within your areas
  • Identify and drive process automation and close efficiency improvements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Revenue, Payroll, AP/AR, FP&A, and IT; mentor staff accountants as the team grows
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred (or in progress)
  • 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at a high-growth SaaS company
  • 2-4 years of Big Four experience strongly preferred
  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, including equity accounting, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Carta, and FloQast or BlackLine
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort using AI/automation tools to improve accounting workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP
  • Experience participating in a NetSuite implementation, ERP conversion, or financial systems transformation.
  • Exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • IPO readiness or SOX experience is a plus.

The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $131,000 - $156,000 in San Francisco, CA. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular positions are eligible for equity, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time or temporary positions.
