About This Role:

The Senior Accountant is part of the Controllership team, within the broader Finance department, and reports to our Manager, Corporate Accounting. As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the execution in accounting for Balance Sheet and Income Statement areas within OPEX, such as: AP, T&E, accruals, prepaid expenses and payroll. You will help lead and perform month-end close and audit procedures and own the Accounts Payable function end-to-end. You will partner with key cross-functional departments like Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Marketing, Compliance and People teams to ensure that our books and records are complete and accurate.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end and year-end close by preparing OPEX accruals, prepaid schedules, expense allocations, payroll journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Treasury, FP&A, Legal and People to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and offering necessary explanations.

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including flux analysis.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve accounting workpapers to support financial analysis, reporting, and process automation.

  • Own end-to-end Accounts Payable, including vendor setup, purchase order issuance and invoice matching, invoice processing, and weekly AP payment cycles.

  • Process one-off and ad-hoc payments that require judgment and discretion.

  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies to maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor accounts.

  • Review GL coding on T&E and credit card transactions and attach supporting documentation as needed.

  • Participate in projects and respond to ad-hoc financial requests as needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting; CPA license preferred

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.

  • Crypto accounting experience is a plus

  • Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial processes

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with team members

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to liaise across departments

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with, Mac OSX, GSuite and ERP such as Netsuite preferred

Salary:

The starting pay range for this role is between USD $115,000 and $130,000 for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
