About the Opportunity

Pragmatike is recruiting for an innovative technology company seeking a Senior Android Developer to help build and scale a high-impact mobile product used by customers worldwide.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating polished user experiences, writing high-quality code, and collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams in a fast-moving environment.

You'll play a key role in shaping the architecture, performance, and future direction of the Android platform.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain native Android applications using modern development practices.

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable mobile architectures.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver new features.

  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

  • Help define technical direction and improve development processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

  • Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and maintainability.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience.

  • Strong expertise in Kotlin.

  • Experience building and shipping Android applications at scale.

  • Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern Android architecture patterns.

  • Experience with REST APIs and mobile networking.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and clean architecture.

  • Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD workflows.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.

  • Experience building consumer-facing mobile products.

  • Familiarity with GraphQL.

  • Exposure to mobile security best practices.

  • Startup or high-growth company experience.

  • Experience mentoring other engineers.
