Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Application Developer designs, builds, tests, deploys, and supports backend services and cloud-hosted application components for the DT&D ERP TRM team. The role owns complex application changes from technical refinement through production support and continuous improvement.

Frontend development, analytics, and data-pipeline engineering are supporting concerns rather than the core focus of the role.
This is a hands-on senior individual contributor position. The developer works independently on complex assignments, makes sound code-level and component-level decisions, and collaborates with product managers, business partners, architects, security, cloud platform, and operations teams when broader alignment is required.

  • APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
  • INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Leads prioritization of incoming incident tickets and user requests.
  • VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates complex contracts.

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with designing, implement, test, document, deploy, and support complex custom applications, integrations, business workflows, reporting solutions, and data products.
  • SAP HANA, SQL and SAP HANA Cloud data modeling.
  • Has experience with writing clean, modular, maintainable code and apply appropriate patterns for reliability, security, and supportability.
  • Investigates and resolves defects, performance issues, and production incidents across application, integration, and data layers.
  • Has applied and applies AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools responsibly for coding, testing, documentation, and review, with human accountability, secure handling of data and code, and established quality controls.
  • Participates in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve reliability and shared code quality.
  • Delivers changes iteratively using automated testing, CI/CD, and disciplined release practices.
  • Experience in ERP, TRM, commodity trading, risk, logistics, supply chain, or similar business domains.
