Description

Nova’s Materials Metrology Division looking for a Sr. Application Engineer who is a highly technical, motivated individual to support our growth in the semiconductor. The Sr. Application Engineer is someone who has broad knowledge of theory and principles of material metrology, and will engage with Nova customers to develop high-value, innovative applications in semiconductor manufacturing. The Sr. Applications Engineer will apply robust statistical techniques to develop new applications and optimize applications for fab environment, while providing region support for new product introduction and evaluation activities.

Pay Range: $ 145,000 - $160,000 Annually (DOE)

Role Responsibilities

What will you do as a Sr. Application Engineer?

  • Innovate and Inspire: Develop cutting-edge customer solutions that highlight the revolutionary capabilities of next-generation metrology products.
  • Collaborative Genius: Work hand-in-hand with top-tier algorithm, software, and engineering teams to analyze and troubleshoot advanced systems in a dynamic R&D environment.
  • Creative Excellence: Craft comprehensive supporting documentation, including detailed test procedures, captivating customer demo reports, and compelling marketing materials.
  • Customer Champion: Deliver exceptional customer support for the seamless installation, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of Nova’s state-of-the-art products.
  • Tech Trendsetter: Stay ahead of the curve by keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging this knowledge to elevate and refine existing solutions.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. A graduate degree is preferred.
  • Must have solid hands-on understanding of analytical techniques (e.g. XPS, SIMS, XRF, OCD, etc), semiconductors metrology, and statistical methods.
  • Hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication and a strong background in advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., lithography, CMP, deposition, wet and dry etch) is strongly preferred.
  • Have experience in modeling, algorithm development, data analysis and light coding (e.g. MATLAB, Phython, etc) is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, and solve complex problems in a creative an effective manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Experience in customer interaction is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally, as required
