Senior AV Production Specialist – Main Street Auditorium

Location: San Jose, CA (On-site)

About the team and the role:

  • eBay is seeking an experienced, passionate, and customer-focused AV Production Specialist to support technical production and execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events on the eBay campus, with primary responsibility for the Main Street Auditorium. 

  • This role will also manage the coordination and scheduling of these events and rehearsals with external vendors as well as internal eBay employees.

  • The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of executive presence, technical depth, and operational excellence. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments supporting Directors, VPs, and C-level executives. 

  • Customer experience and professionalism are paramount at eBay. A strong technical foundation combined with exceptional service mindset is key to success in this role.

Who you are: 

  • Proven experience managing, organizing, and supporting live AV productions, including large-scale corporate, executive, and high-visibility events.
    Extensive experience supporting senior leadership (Directors, VPs, C-level) with professionalism and strong executive presence.

  • Exceptional customer service mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in fast-paced, high-stakes environments while maintaining composure under pressure.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly under tight deadlines or during live events.

  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to anticipate needs and mitigate risks before they impact the event.

What you will bring:

  • Deep hands-on experience with enterprise AV and production systems, including:

    • Barco E2 event processors

    • Barco LED tiles and LED wall systems

    • Yamaha digital mixing consoles (DM7, QL Series preferred)

    • Extron XTP Matrix switching and routing

    • Extron DSP

    • Meyer Sound systems and Galaxy DSP

    • Dante audio networking

    • Clear-Com systems (HelixNet, FreeSpeak)

    • Panasonic PTZ cameras and controllers

    • Poly G7500

    • Mitti and QLab playback systems

    • Companion and Stream Deck

    • LED lighting systems

  • Live Streaming & Virtual Platforms

    • Zoom Webinars, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Vimeo, YouTube Live

    • Experience managing hybrid event workflows and broadcast-quality webcasting

  • Additional Technical Skills

    • Presentation tools (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote)

    • Video switching, mapping, and broadcasting

    • Video editing tools (e.g., Camtasia)

    • Knowledge of networked AV environments

What you will accomplish:

  • Oversee technical production for live, hybrid, and virtual events including town halls, executive presentations, panels, product launches, and large corporate meetings.

  • Oversee technical rehearsals, speaker preparation, and live content delivery to ensure seamless execution.

  • Liaise with senior leadership to align on event objectives, provide regular updates, and deliver post-event insights and recommendations.

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics with internal teams and external production vendors.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in high-pressure live environments.

  • Develop and maintain production best practices, documentation, and standardized workflows.

  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in live streaming and hybrid event production.

Additional Responsibilities

  • When not actively supporting Main Street Auditorium events, this role will:

  • Support broader Conferencing & Media Services team initiatives and operational projects.

  • Assist with event production outside of the Main Street Auditorium as needed.

  • Conduct room checks and proactive system health validation across supported spaces.

  • Support ticket queue management, including troubleshooting user and operational tickets.

  • Perform video editing and post-production tasks for recorded events and internal communications.

  • Assist with documentation updates, process improvements, and technical standardization efforts.

  • Partner with team members on new technology deployments, testing, and optimization initiatives.

  • Provide cross-functional support during peak event seasons.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$127,600 - $170,300

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
